Lovely hotel aesthetics

Posted Jan 7, 2018
Pros: It overlooks a wonderful golf course. Has a lovely jogging trail that has monkeys, birds etc adding to the natural feel
Cons: See my experience above.
Location: Outside Nairobi City so takes a bit of time. But safari sites are nearby. The golf course is in excellent condition.
Services could be improved for 21st century guest comfort: - no tea / coffee maker in room so if you need to have a coffee at 3am, you need to call the butler, - no iron / ironing table. Irons are rationed over many rooms so you wind up either wearing crumpled clothes or engaging hotel laundry to straighten a shirt. - creaky bedposts and wooden floor boards.

Beautiful location, nice breakfast, dated rooms, nice workout/pool facilities, slow internet, fair customer service

Beautiful old hotel on a really nice golf course.

Posted Dec 14, 2016
Pros: Great ambiance, good support staff.
Location: Location on fringe of Nairobi is quiet, restful and secure. Don't know much about what is nearby as I stuck to the golf and spa facilities.
I stayed for a layover weekend in Nairobi, and wanted to be able to craft a rest and recuperative stay. Was exactly what I needed. Really good course, nice facilities, restaurants, etc.

A very outdated hotel with a great golf course.

The effort to make the hotel look like a period piece have resulted in the rooms being antiquated and very sub-standard for the high price. The staff is excellent.

Country Club style

Windsor Golf has a charming olde worlde colonial feel to it. The grounds are magnificent and sitting on the outskirts of Nairobi, traffic permitting, it is easily accessible. The two-bedroom cottages are spacious and very comfortable. Positioned on the edge of the golf course, they provide a very relaxing atmosphere.
