"Room was huge as with Ryokan style accommodation and generally clean, What great is the reservation system for onsen so you can have a private slot for yourself/family instead of the usually gender sharing arrangement. It is about 10-15 minutes walk to Yunotsubo Kaido and 5 minutes to the train station and Aeon supermart. Unlike some osen town eg. Hakone, there is plenty of food option at night."

"Situated in a scenic location with an unbelievable view over the surrounding mountains including mt Yufu. Very steep road up and easy to miss off the main road. Parking lot is good and was never crowded. Room was very spacious with 3 private onsens, though you’d only be using the outside ones purely for the surrounding views and sounds of nature! The daily Kaiseki meals were excellent with abundance of local delicacies including Bungo Wagyu beef! overall the resort felt a little dated and would...

AMANEK Beppu YULA-RE

AMANEK Beppu YULA-RE

8/10 Good
"We liked the property and how close it was to the train station, the rooftop pool and hot tub were great, it has 360° views of Beppu. The Onsen was great also and we used it regularly. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. It had washer/dryers that were constantly busy and In use and was difficult to get them free. Our room was decent but small, and the side of the bed had dust & hairs plus the bed headboard wall was stained with what looked like brown water stains. This should be easily fixed and not left as is. Other than that the hotel was good and I’d return if ever in Beppu again."

Frequently asked questions

What is the nightly rate for a guest house in Nakatsu?
Rates for Nakatsu guest houses vary, but travelers can find great-value prices from $39 with Expedia. A range of factors can affect nightly rates, such as the location, the breakfast offering, and the range of amenities. Travelers looking for a good deal should consider looking for a midweek stay, as weekend rates at Nakatsu guest houses tend to be higher. Remember to also use our filters to sort prices from low to high.
What's the difference between a Nakatsu guest house and a B&B?
A guest house in Nakatsu is typically a larger establishment with more rooms, offering a more hotel-like experience, and may provide additional amenities including luxury bedding. In contrast, a B&B is usually a smaller property that focuses primarily on providing a room and breakfast. A B&B is often more personal, and breakfast is typically included as part of the stay, but other services might be more limited compared to a guest house.
