Hotel is newly renovated and therefore 'fresh'. It is a great location with the Woodgrove Mall near-by as well as a Superstore almost across the street. Easy access to the 'old' Island Highway as well. Worked well for our family visit.

Pros: service, cleanliness, breakfast;
Location: mall and cinema very close, walking distance
Very clean, completely updated rooms, friendly service, great breakfast, could not be better for the price. 10 minute drive to downtown Nanaimo, 20 minutes to Parksville;

The service was great. They made all attempts to ensure my early check in went smoothly Travelled with my dog and the hotel staff were quite courteous and made my pet feel welcome

Everything was adequate but bedding smelled musty. I think it was the pillows which were also uncomfortable. Hotel has been upgraded since last visit. Expensive for what you get.

Nice property, parking is convenient, breakfast was great, no noise, balcony was nice feature to watch sunset, would definitely stay here again

Very nice, clean hotel with a great breakfast

He breakfast was fantastic. They even offer some gluten free options like waffles upon request. Very nicely finished - well above the class of Hotel. An odd detail - the carpet on the elevator was in need of replacement. Very minor in an otherwise perfect place. Great shower and comfortable beds. Clean. Nice size of fridge and nice little outside deck with proper table and chairs.

Great experience

Close to some good shopping and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. One of the best continental breakfasts we've had..all fresh and a nice variation. They were very helpful with directions as we weren't familiar with the area.

Great base hotel for Nanimo area.

Only thing missing was there is no hot tub. Web site said there was. Has been removed. All new reno's. Very nice.

Pros: the buffet breakfast
Cons: no comments here
Location: Did not have time to venture around.
Not very good. we wanted a room higher than the 1s floor given. they said that was what we get as expedia had paid for it.

We're not sure where the confusion lies here. We don't have any rules about where we locate guests based on their booking. We try to accommodate all requests if possible. Needless to say we will talk to staff and try to find out where the confusion came from in this case. Our apologies for the misunderstanding.
