The property is in a great location overlooking Place Royale and COULD be great. BUT... there were too many issues during our stay for us to be content given the price paid. My booking stated the property had air-conditioning. It does NOT have any such facility. On the day described as a "heat apocalypse" in the press, that was a major issue, particularly as my son suffers from cholinergic urticaria, and was very distressed. The excuse was that Expedia was mistaken. And so we were the victims. The corridor leading to the property is dark and foreboding. The "virtual key" to the apartment did not function. Reception is situated some 400 meters away, making it difficult with luggage. There was a very sharp nail protruding substantially from the wooden floor on which I hurt my foot. The bathroom is tiny with nowhere to put anything and the very narrow shower panel door means water floods the bathroom floor and stairs leading immediately to the bedroom, a safety issue. The towels taken away were not replaced. The toilet paper was not replaced either, causing us to have to collect some from reception ourselves. There is an ironing board, but no iron. The cleaning was inadequate in some areas which were very dusty. Reception assured me I would not be charged tourist taxes, as compensation. Yet I was so charged, and no-one bothered to respond to my email enquiry. This is definitely not "like home" and nowhere near "better than home" as advertised. Avoid in summer.
