Nice hotel , location ideal

Pros: The hotel facility was of good standard, staff were generally very friendly
Cons: Check in time. Use of spa facilities
Location: Good location for visiting the valley
Was a good hotel experience overall, Looks like the hotel is heavily booked, so we were not able to check in before the 4 pm time which is a bit later than most hotels One would think that if guests check out at 11 am rooms should be ready by 3 pm. Hotel guests are required to buy a day pass to use spa facilities at $50.

Enjoyed the wine cellar and the pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We decide to get away at the last minute for the long holiday weekend. It was the greatest idea. It's a wonderful place to get away and to be pampered. We would recommend it to our family and friends. We will return.

Pros: amenities
Cons: sound system
Location: wineries, amazing restaurants and sightseeing
we run into some issues at the hotel that were solved within no time, the staff and especially the front office team is fantastic, truly impressed with how they handled all if it. great location, good size rooms, although I do suggest to take the rooms on the 2nd floor versus ground floor.

Nice but overpriced

This is a cute hotel with its own vineyard but for $500/ night it's not above and beyond a $300/night hotel. The pool is small and gets crowded quickly. The dining options are limited but because it's Napa and everyone eats outside of the hotel, it's ok. There's only one person who manages the Lost and Found so you can only leave messages. I was able to reach Housekeeping instead and Yoanna was unbelievably helpful.

Beware breastfeeding moms!!

The Meritage is supposedly one of the most exclusive & luxurious properties in Napa Valley, with room rates to show for it. I visited in July 21-22, 2017, at the recommendation of my cousin & guest, who wrote a glowing review for The Meritage in Ocean Magazine several years back. For our nightly rate of $647 in a superior queen room, I expected 5 star service. To our surprise, we received sub standard service from staff & management who are very much indifferent to their guests needs. Upon checking in, I made it very clear that as a new mom, I would need to freeze my ice packs (to keep breastmilk cool) in the hotels' dining service freezer, as the ice packs were too large to fit in the hotel room freezer. Vaughn at check in assured me that the hotel could accommodate. Upon calling dining services in the evening, I was once again told that there were no issues with freezing my ice packs. Soon thereafter, Emily from the front desk called to say that freezing ice packs would be a contaminant & the hotel would not be able to accommodate my needs. At this point, I made it clear that I was not asking to freeze breastmilk, just ice packs, which I have done plenty of times at a variety of hotels. Emily made no concessions & rushed me off the phone. As a new mom with necessary needs, I had to pump & dump gallons of milk that could have been used to nourish my newborn, all thanks to the lack of interest & clear indifference The Meritage showed. Beware moms!!!

Beautiful resort!

This resort is beautiful and in a great location, easy to get everywhere in the valley by car. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. The pool is fantastic. Great resort!!

Nice Hotel very Busy

Location: Far from everything. Couldn't get a diet coke anyway except bar after 6PM. No vending machines.
We were disappointed that our one request to have a vineyard view was not honored. We expected a quieter Hotel being name is Spa resort. Not so.

needs cleaning

Bathrobes and decorative pillows on the bed were stained. Pool had a ton of bird droppings, spider webs everywhere, not as clean as I expected for such a pricey hotel. Disappointed with my stay.
