Nice hotel but restauration

Posted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: More furniture at the room
Location: The market
It is a nice hotel but at the moment they are restoring the lobby and social rooms.

Nice hôtel

Despite it is under renovation ... The room was amazing. We really appreciated the complementary "grab and go" breakfast offered for the inconvenience.

Worth a look ... a value hotel in Napa

Posted Dec 30, 2016
Overall all we were satisfied with our choice, only thing is I wished they had mentioned they were under construction / face lift in the lobby & public areas. Location is good proximity to the vineyards and offers a good value for money.

Hotel construction

Posted Dec 12, 2016
It was very loud and dusty when we went at the beginning of December 2016. Im sure it is great when it isn't being worked on.

Heart of wine country

Posted Dec 9, 2016
Pros: Staff did the best they could under trying circumstances
Cons: See experience
Location: Close to wineries
We chose this hotel for its location and amenities. When we arrived we were very disappointed to find it under renovation and the restaurant closed. Staff working conditions, especially the front desk, were deplorable. Getting directions or suggestions was almost impossible as a result of construction noise. For the staff it was business as usual....noisy but plug on they did. They are here every day. As to my wife and I....wel this was our first...and probably only visit to the area....there are many hotels from which to choose....and our experience would have been so much better had we chosen a different property. Why they didn't simply close the hotel for renovations and then reopen with great fanfare is beyond me.

Dear Dean, Thank you for giving us your honest feedback. I do understand your frustrations with the hotel's renovation. While we are excited for our new restaurant & lobby area it is a new and unique experience for us here at River Terrace Inn during construction. We are doing everything we can to ease and address our guest's concerns during this time. I am sorry that your stay did not meet up to our normal standards. I hope you do give us another chance if your travels ever bring you to Napa again. We would love to show off our new property with you and yours.

Not as expected

Posted Nov 24, 2016
Hotel is old and was remodeling when we arrived. Staff tried to make it up for the inconvenience and gave us an upgrade, but overall not impressive.

Close to downtown Napa but very overpriced.

Posted Oct 17, 2016
I stayed here one rainy weekend and it was $700/night. There was no "river view" as we were placed on the ground floor with a view of a pile of dirt and some orange erosion control fences. This was not a busy weekend so I shudder to think what it would cost to stay here during the busy season. The room was very nice but nothing nicer than you'd get for $200 in Las Vegas. The hotel was located about 2 blocks from where downtown is, as long as you don't mind walking alongside a small highway for those two blocks. Sign in staff was rude. Staff during the free wine at 4:30 was excellent.

Great location and patio

Posted Oct 15, 2016
This hotel is walking distance to restaurants and shops in downtown napa. The live music and free wine during happy hour was a nice touch. Incredible patio to have breakfast, lunch or dinner or drinks on along the river. The only really disappointing thing was they closed the pool a week before we got there, and we had no notice. We complained when we checked out and the reception said they had a partnership with the hotel next door where we could use their pool!! That almost made me more upset we weren't told that upon check in when I asked where the pool was. For the price, with no pool, it was steep.
