It seems that most motels in NZ do not have Air / Conditioning. Only provide a small fan.

Close to the beach

Beyond Impressed!

Pros: Location, views, comfort, owners!
Cons: nothing...it was truly fantastic.
Location: close to the main downtown area by car.
We really loved our stay at this Motel. Room was really comfortable, extremely clean, quiet, great wifi and TV. The owners were extremely warm and friendly too. And the price was amazing!

Pros: The owners are very genuine people who take customer care very seriously. Well located amongst many other motels
Cons: The room layout.
Location: Close to a "beach" and great eateries.
The room was very clean and bed comfortable. Although along busy road we did not experience significant road noise. The owners are very friendly are eager to ensure we had a good experience

Friendly service

The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were really friendly and helpful, we couldn't of asked for more will definitely be staying there again. Thanks for the stay

Clean and Tidy

Pros: proximity to everything
Cons: heating! and more pillows for the bed.
Location: very close (but not walking distance) to town.
Clean room and bathroom, but very very cold! We checked in at 3.30 but the room was only just being finished with cleaning and there was an awfully strong cleaning product smell so we had to open all the windows, while it was raining and cold. One small panel heater and one small fan heater - not quite enough in 9deg weather! Staff friendly and welcoming. Room view over the neighbours derelict yard not so great. Was adequate but probably will try somewhere else next time.

Terrible service

This is not 4 star accommodation as shown on the Hotels.com website. The man at the front desk was ok, the lady's service was terrible. Our kids were having a shower and the hair/body soap dispenser was empty. So had to go and see if they had anything at the office - that took ages as the lady went on and on about the cleaners. There were 4 of us. Only 3 forks - so while my lunch was going cold I had to go and get another fork. At first I was greeted with, "you're still here", I was like yes. She then said that we should have checked out by now. I said no, we had paid for two nights, she disputed that. In the end she checked the computer. She then went on and on and on about blaming the cleaners, and that she didnt have time to check rooms. I also asked about the room being serviced and instead of saying after 12 (which was also odd as most places service in the morning while people are usually out) I got another big story - so yes my lunch was cold and everyone had eaten by the time I got back to the room. Service finally turned up around 1.30. The kitchen and bathroom taps dripped. The left hand element on the stop top didn't work. Water goes everywhere when you shower as its one of those showers that dont have sides of lips to keep the water in, so had to use all the towels to mop the floor so we didnt slip. Hazard walking from the bathroom to the kitchen - slighly raised lip - but not a step. Bedroom vacuuming not good. Bed comfortable. Location good.

Great stay

Pros: Staff and location
Great location and easy to find. Within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Staff couldn't do enough for you which made our stay very comfortable and friendly.
