the hôtel à Naples

Posted Aug 25, 2015

Good Hotel

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: Everything about the hotel was good. Breakfast good. Restaurant very good. Having a beer on the balcony (the view was amazing)
Cons: We were very happy with everything.
Location: Location is fine, Felt safe walking back to the hotel at night. One or Two bars etc in walking distant. we mainly got the funicular up or down
Excellent Hotel, Staff very friendly, nice room with sea view, good breakfast, ate in the restaurant twice both very good, would be a great hotel to stay in for a day in the city then a day by the pool. We were there in August very hot, used the funiculars every day (They are not well signposted actually walked past the one that took you to the main street) you get your day tickets from tabac shops. Felt very safe (crossing the road the first time was an experience )they do slow down and sometimes stop)). The most disappointing thing about the street where the hotel is situated was the amount of dog mess on the pavements, I found it quite disgusting constantly having to watch the pavement. Really enjoyed Naples though. Take the funicular up the way as well you come out in a nice district. There are 3 city bus tours which were good. Lots of narrow streets with high tenements flats either side. Naples has a lot of scaffolding up at the moment for building repairs etc. We will be going back to visit in about 5 years time.

Hotel de grand standing, impeccablement tenu.

Posted Aug 13, 2015
Pros: Tout

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Pros:

views, pool, and quirkiness

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Fabulous views across city, bay and Vesuvius. Excellent helpful staff with good local knowledge. Quartieiri Spagnoli nothing like as risky as guidebooks suggest. Full of character and humour and STEPS. Nearby funicular saves a long uphill climb but finishes at 10. Taxis not expensive though. Only disappointment was the pool closure for 3 of our 5 days. Spoilt the fun a bit. Best to check they're not planning an 'extraordinary clean' during your visit.

Amazing hotel!

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: We really loved the character and charm of the hotel and how it wasn't just another chain hotel, it was so unique and really a pleasure to stay at.
Cons: The bathroom in our room while charming could use some modifications and signs of how to reach the restaurant would be helpful.
Location: There is a great little restaurant just down the street that we visited several times, it's the closest one to the hotel highly recommended.
What an amazing hotel to stay at. The overall experience was great, we loved our room, it was so big and the view was perfect! The location is a bit secluded up on the hill, but the cable car is fairly close and in only one stop you are surrounded by restaurants and shops. The hotel is so unique with stairs everywhere and adventuring through the halls, it was fun just to explore the hotel itself. We loved the character and features of the hotel, the breakfast was good and made better by the view of the water and Mt. Vesuvius.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: The views across Naples - Vesuvius was directly in front of us from our bedroom.
Cons: The price of drinks from the restaurant is a little steep given how cheap food/drink was in Naples centre. Therefore we avoided this.
Location: The location is fantastic! Very near to Castell St'Elmo and 2 furniculare stops.
I stayed at this hotel with my partner and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel staff are very friendly and have a good grasp of English. They were able to recommend local restaurants to us and any need we had was catered for. The location of the hotel is also a great base for exploring Naples. The hotel is between two furniculare stations yet it is also very easy to walk into the main centres from the hotel (10-15 mins walk). If you require a taxi, Reception will have one ready for you in 2-3 mins. By far the best feature of this hotel is the view across Naples from the restaurant and the roof top pool - it even rivals the view from the nearby Castell Sant Elmo which we visited. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I revisit Naples.
