Worst stay ever

We arrived late for check in and the front desk told us that the room we "booked " was not a guarantee . We had booked three weeks prior for a double bed room, and when we arrived we were told we had a 1 king size and a pull out. There was a conference in town and our room was given away. We will not be staying at a Embassy suites again.

It was a good room. Priced a bit high. Hotel overbooked so we didn't get the room we requested. Were given less beds which was a problem and to make up for it we were given a miniminal credit off the nightly rate and free snacks and drinks which were on a different floor and sold out of almost everything. I always stay at embassy suites but this was a bit disappointing.

Great hotel but staff was not prepared.

Check in was supposed to be 4pm. There was a very long line at check in at 4:30. Nobody in line had a room that was ready. It became very congested in the lobby with people standing around waiting for their room. We were told the same thing. Our room was finally ready at 5:45pm. They did discount our room $50 for the inconvenience. But not having ANY rooms ready by check in should be unacceptable. Cleaning crew should get retrained.
