Started out so well

Check in was great; room was wonderful; view and location excellent. They have a really innovative thing ...a housekeeping menu where you can request things like extra pillows, coffee, cups etc ...and that's where the problems started. I requested extra coffee...nine appeared; I requested room to be serviced by 2:00, it was after 4 when it was done. The first day, a paper was slipped under the door...this was a nice touch, but it didn't happen again. They have a shuttle, but do not rely on it if you are in any way time-sensitive. They do lots of things really well, but need to sort out housekeeping BIG TIME. I was so impressed to start with, but they did not sustain performance. Oh...on the last day I was left with no coffee at all...called to reception and after 30 minutes had to go down because it still hasn't arrived. The manager took my complaint, but never hit back to me.

Great hotel, fabulous location!

Pros: The sweet lady that worked the breakfast buffet on Sunday and Monday was so helpful, kind and sweet. Excellent service.
Cons: The beds were not as comfortable in one room as they were in another. Room 402 may be rented out more, mattresses need to be turned or replaced.
Location: endless - across the street from the Parthenon, shops, school, restaurants, endless
Great hotel, the location was perfect for us! Wewere there for the ballgame and for a tour on Monday at Vanderbilt. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to go. Clean, friendly staff, great location. We will stay there again.

Excellent stay Was hoping pool was open but it wasn't. It was mid 70's in early October and pool was already closed. Friendly staff

A decent value in an expensive market.

Pros: The hotel is close to a lot of attractions.
Cons: Paying 20 bucks a day for parking.
Location: Close proximity to several different neighborhoods with different styles of music. Also close to Vanderbilt University.
The room was very comfortable, great shower, nice bed, quiet, and a good real breakfast was included with my room.

Not worth the money

Pros: The buffet breakfast was decent. Location worked for us.

Hotel is in a good location, but is tired and in need of update. Parking fee was a surprise. Maid service failed to clean the room, which was marginal to begin with. Staff assistance at front desk was inconsistent - some were helpful, others were not. Disappointing stay.

Very good hotel, reasonably priced

Pros: Location, very friendly staff, size of room, quietness, ease of check in, check out, and parking, refrigerator
Cons: Larger bars of soap
Location: Close to university, shops, downtown, restaurants
I've stayed at this hotel before when coming for the Country Music Marathon. Renovation and upgrades noticeable and much appreciated. Very friendly staff and conveniently located to shops, restaurants, university, and downtown. Easy access to interstate.

Gutes Hotel

Beim Checkin bekamen wir wieder mal ein Zimmer direkt neben dem Lift. Was aber auf unsere Bitte getauscht wurde. Positiv ist der kostenlose Shuttle z.Bsp. nach Downtown. 20$ fürs Selbstparken fand ich etwas übertrieben. Ansonsten gutes sauberes Zimmer und Hotel.

2016 Sister Trip to Nashville

Pros: Everything!!!
Cons: Can't think of anything...
Location: Close to university, Centennial Park and trolley stops. Restaurants nearby
From the time we checked in at the front desk with this excellent staff...our entire stay was always a 10+. Room, lobby, pool, restaurant, staff, shuttle driver and more...everything was great!! Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. . Definitely would stay agIn..

I had reservations for September 22,2016 at the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt and called the hotel on 21 September to confirm my reservations as I usually do. I was told by the person answering the phone that I did not have a reservation. We stayed on phone about 15 minutes and she told me she was sorry but she could not find any evidence of my reservation. I then booked another hotel for the one night 22 September 2016 so I could attend my medical meeting. I was very disappointed and frustrated about not having a room there. I am also not very happy that I am being charged for the night and was told I did not have a reservation and they could not help me.
