Excellent location and able to safely stroll into main area in 5 -10 minutes. Staff extremely helpful and friendly

Nashville Boogie

Pros: Location was spot on - easy access to Broadway, Country and Western Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museum, etc. Approximately 15 mins cab from airport.
Cons: Could be really picky and say the lift was noisy but only when in it - could not be heard from outside!
Location: Downtown Nashville seems to be pretty central to everything, Johnny Cash Museum, Grand Ole Opry, Pasty Cline Museum and non-stop live music.
Firstly, we were greeted with a lovely big smile from Alisa who made us feel very welcome from the get-go. The staff (sorry but we did not get their names) were equally as friendly and helpful, the lady who did breakfast was there every morning we were (7) and kept the food very well stocked. The room was exactly as described, very clean and comfortable. Bedding and towels were changed every day and we were constantly stocked with coffee for the coffee-maker. The hotel could not be better suited for our purposes, we were in downtown Nashville and the walk down to Broadway took approximately 10 minutes! We were there for the Nashville Boogie which was being held at the Grand Ole Opry and this was literally 15 minutes by cab (which were abundant and did a flat fee of $25 - not spiteful at all). The only negative we can come up with is that we could not stop any longer. In short, if you want a decently priced hotel; clean, friendly and convenient you could not go better than this - even listening to the bullfrogs of an evening was lovely (there is a walled garden to the rear where we are assuming these little critters were residing).

Superb hotel ...this is a must-stay.

This hotel was superb at every level. Could not be more helpful in every way and when a guest took sick, his sister insisted later that the hotel staff had saved his life. Will stay nowhere else anytime I visit New Orleans.

Comfort within walking distance to everything

My stay at The Capitol was fine. The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable, clean and seemed to be soundproof. There is valet parking. Breakfast on the 2nd floor was good too. I loved that we were 2-2 1/2 blocks from the strip, The Ryman and Bridgestone Arena. This was much more accessible and affordable compared to other hotels. I would recommend and I will plan to go back for future stays.

Great hotel short walk to downtown

We had a great stay at the Capitol. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning. We would definitely stay there again!

Top of the Hill

Nice hotel with convenience to the historic sites. Located a distance from the bar scene on broadway and 2nd avenue. That walk was great especially with all the wonderful food options to work off.

It's a decent hotel but way over priced

Rooms are very small Took awhile for the air to start working but eventually it started kicking. Sucky water pressure Gave us our room 5 minutes of getting to our room another couple opened our door because they were assigned the same room. After an awkward second of standing there looking at each other we realized what happened. They double assigned the room. Thankfully the nice couple weren't serial killers. The receptionist was nice and well mannered and apologized for the mix up. However, the hotel is in a good location. It was a very short walk to the Bridgestone Arena and downtown. But probably won't be staying here again.

Not worth what we paid

This "hotel" was much more like a motel. The room was very small and cramped. There were no towels to be found.
