Beautiful views will take your breath away.

Posted Mar 15, 2017
Pros: The beautiful views and the friendly staff.
Cons: be careful walking around close to the hotel. Met an unfriendly dog and there are not sidewalks. Would have liked better direction upon arrival.
I stayed for a night in between flights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The rooms are beautiful with balcony access that is shared between other guests on the floor. Great for me as am I smoker! The staff was wonderful! Patrice was great!! Met some locals there and enjoyed discussing various topics. The grounds are somewhat small. The day I was there the wind was too high to use the pool but looked very nice!! Would recommend this place to anyone. Keep in mind close to the airport and a lot of stairs. Great value for the price!!

Beautiful view

Posted Mar 2, 2017
Pros: Anya and scenery/view
Cons: The food, not a very good value
Location: Perfect for those that prefer to stay away from the city...not far from any excursions...
Peaceful, serene food could have been better. I expected much more flavor and presentation...dessert was yogurt with some blueberries and strawberries. I was hoping for some guava duff...

Good place if in transit

Posted Feb 3, 2017
Arrived 9pm, pouring rain, no one else helped me up long flights of stairs with bags. A welcoming glass of juice or punch would be nice, a bottle of water in fridge. Have stayed in more welcoming hotels in war torn africa.

Thank you for your note. We have made available a buzzer at the Hotel's gate/entrance for our Bellman or Security to assist with luggage up the staircase and then onto the guest rooms. We also make available to our guests complimentary tea, coffee and water in our Dining area. We do appreciate your comments as it assists us to continue our goal in offering the best service to our guests.

Over Night Convenience at Nassau

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: The hotel staff was polite and very helpful in providing information about the island. The hotel and rooms were clean and seemed to be well kept.
Cons: The noise outside of the rooms. You could hear the other guests talking and moving around in their rooms and the staff in the lobby as well
Location: Nassau is not that big so if you are willing to explore and have the time, you can enjoy all the island has to offer.
The hotel was within 5 minutes from the Airport and access to the beach was a 1/8 of a mile walk down the hill on the east side of Nassau. It sits high on the hill so if you just want to relax and enjoy the view of the ocean you can. The hotel only has 8-10 rooms. So there is not a lot of traffic going in and out of the hotel itself. There were two balconies and they were very spacious and the outdoor furniture was in good condition and comfortable.

Breathtaking View / Mediocre Amenities

Posted Nov 18, 2016
If you want a place with a beautiful view and you are great shape this is the place for you. Upon arriving you will see the wooden gate next to the carved out mountain side. Once inside you will see an amazing but intimidating staircase nearly straight up. No elevators here but the staff member Reynaldo was awesome with helping us to our room. If not for him my overall review would have been lower. Once you make it inside the amenities are sparse at best and the tub did not have hot water. It was like warm at best which did not help us relax on our final night in Nassau. When trying to call the front desk I kept receiving a message stating no one was available to help. Apparently the only way to get assistance here is to go to the front desk and ask for it. I called several times over the course of the evening and received that message every time. Also, if you plan on eating here (at least on Sunday) you must place your order before 7pm to guarantee service.. Which is annoying because when we checked in we were told that dinner was served between 7-9:30pm.. so we assumed that meant we could order at 8pm without issue but that is not the case. After walking down to order we were told we might not get to order because it was after 7pm.... extremely confusing and not helpful in the least. We did get to order but receiving that information in such a confusing way hurt the experience. Overall it's a beautiful location and 5min from the airport but wouldn't recomend it.

Thank you for your comments Joe. We must offer our apologies for not providing you with our best. We always want to hear from our guests in order to correct any issues immediately. We have our Bellman Renaldo or Michael to assist with luggage at the Hotel's entrance to your room as there are lots of stairs. Dinner is 7pm - 9:30pm daily. We like to advise our clients that we cook to order and love it when we can fulfill an order within 30 minutes to the client's satisfaction. Again - we must apologize for not immediately rectifying the hot water issue to your satisfaction as this is our main goal. Our proximity to the airport and Oceanside are just a couple of amenities our guests enjoy but our main attraction is always to make our guests comfortable either for an overnight stay or a longer visit. We hope we can make this happen for you in the future. Warm regards.

Quiet & Relaxing

Posted Nov 12, 2016
Pros: The staff are warm and welcoming and really do try their best to accommodate your needs. Quiet, great view, conveniently located near the main road and airport. There are a few steps up to the hotel, but not bad at all. If you have a mobility issue, this would be a problem. If you walk well with a cane, you should be able to do it. Plus, you really don't need to leave the hotel once you're there if you don't need to. They do breakfast and dinner, and there's a nearby restaurant that will do delivery if you need something more during the day. Call and speak to the hotel about this ahead. They really do try to help as much as possible.
Cons: Not that this was a problem, but just understand the relaxed way of the island - and to order your dinner by around 6pm so they can cook to order. They do their best to accommodate!
Location: Located near a nice, small grocery a small walk away where the owner is very sweet and kind. Down to earth places to eat nearby. Bus is easy!

Delightful B&B - Hotel with old style charm

Posted Sep 5, 2016
Pros: The view, the ambience.
Cons: For the cold breakfast buffet, a greater variety of rolls or pastries and better selection of fruit.
Location: Steps to the beach, not far from few decent restaurants.
An enjoyable place for a more laid-back experience of the Bahamas, with a taste of old style living. The entry stairwell cut through the solid limestone with wooden beam gate was a nice welcoming touch. Super friendly and helpful staff, spacious deck overlooking the sea. Far enough from the tourism centres to be relaxing; a rental car is pretty much a necessity.

Not worth it...I'd pay more to stay elsewhere

Posted Aug 9, 2016 on Hotels
Not a great experience. The bathroom shower is disgusting. The front desk was awkward; however, the service men work hard and do most of the work. The tipping point - gave my passport to check-in and never got it back until I realized it was missing en route to airport. When I called and returned, the front desk didn't have the courtesy to meet me downstairs, so I had to walk up the hill and was welcomed by "you're lucky you figured it out".

When I arrived the hotel staff had gone home. After ringing the door bell, a young man opened the door and found my room key with a note at the front desk. The numbers listed in their directory for taxi service did not answer. I located security and had him take me to the airport.
