Staying at the Coral Atlantis in the Bahamas for a four-night visit was an average experience overall. The hotel, with its impressive facilities and picturesque setting, promises much but delivers a mixed experience. The rooms are comfortable but lack the luxurious touch expected at such a price point.
A significant drawback is the extreme pricing for nearly everything, particularly food and beverages. Dining at the hotel is prohibitively expensive, with meal costs significantly higher than elsewhere on the island, and the quality or uniqueness of the culinary experience doesn't justify the high prices.
The lack of proper room service further dampened the experience. Ordered breakfast on Thursday morning remained, along with an unwelcome gathering of flies, outside our room door until we left on Saturday morning, despite a call to the front desk. Additionally, the room was cleaned only once during our stay, even after addressing this issue with the front desk.
While the hotel's location and amenities like the water park and aquarium add value, these are overshadowed by high costs and service shortcomings. The overall impression is that while the Coral Atlantis offers a decent stay, the value for money, especially regarding dining and service, is questionable.
