The pool area is lush. Restaurants & it's staff were good. Reception was nice. I was poolside for a few hrs, got up to use the facilities several times, & on my last visit, the pool attendant attempted to take my airpods that were on the table next to my chair. She did not try & clean up the lunch tray I had, water bottles, glassware, my book or clothing, as I watched for several moments. I'm certain they would have disappeared if I had not returned at the right time.

Property overall was excellent my only observation was adjusting the temperature of the ac in the room. One min it was cool the other warm. May not be the fault of the hotel's I probably simply didnt know how to set the temperature. AC gauge could be more user friendly

Very expensive! for no reason whatsoever. The staff didn't seem to communicate with one another. Looked good on the site but wasn't. 2 virgin drinks and 2 bottles of water for $35 USD!

This hotel was so pretty and the staff were very nice and attentive. The bellmen helped with getting a taxi and with directions. The beach beyond the hotel was easily accessible and near a lot of local venders with good food and rum punch. The only negative is that the cruise ships port for the day every day. The shops downtown are only open when the tourists from the cruise ships come in. Once the ships leave then everything closes. I would still take this location over the Atlantis area. Very good stay!

You can see that this hotel has recently been upgraded and looks good both inside and out. I enjoyed my stay, however, I believe the price for my basic room was very overpriced. I enjoyed the outdoor area, pool and especially the small beach. I think the staff could do with some better training though. I wasn't greeted as I approached the beach, even though there were a few staff members hanging around. I ended up spending a good few hours down there and had to ask if I could use a bed, and no one bothered to offer me any food/drinks. I was willing to spend money down there but instead left and went to the inside bar. The staff in there were very attentive.

It was a great vacation. However my air condition would turn off at night and I would wake up sweating. Also I don’t understand why my room smell fishy. My daughter had the same problem with her air conditioner in her room but her room did not smell like fish. I read reviews prior to my stay complaining about a fishy odor and I book thinking perhaps it wasn’t true but it was indeed my experience as well.

The British Colonial is a good hotel, clean and centrally located. Having only opened since December of 2023 there are still some teething issues as the operation settles in (hot water was unavailable for a short time in our room) and the Italian restaurant makes an effort but falls somewhat short on quality and on value (had the Pork Milanese and was impressed by he size but disappointed in the quality). On the plus side the Sushi restaurant and chef are very good and the cocktails from the main bar are excellent. The staff were the stars of the whole affair.

A beautiful property inside especially the main lobby and bar. The fridge in my room made so much noise I had to unplug it. Also, be careful to ask about services outside the remit of the hotel- you might be asked to Google it as I was when enquiring about a day pass at the Atlantis. Will put it down to a tired receptionist working late at night. There needs to be better communication between Expedia and the hotel regarding promotions. My reservation which was confirmed by email included complimentary breakfast but nobody knew about it on arrival. Eventually all sorted out.

The staff was great and very helpful. There are so many places to walk to and when you need a taxi, the doormen get one for you in minutes. The only thing I was not a fan of was the AC thermostat in the room. It is on a motion sensor so at night it would go off and get too hot in the room so I would wake up several times throughout the night and have to get out of bed and walk near the thermostat to trigger it to turn on. Other than that, everything else was great.

We came down for Carifta and your hotel was recommended. There were a few issues that we encountered. On the 1st night of arrival our hotel room was not able to lock completely but it was late and we were exhausted, we got that resolved the next day. On the second night we could not get any hot water only warm water for a shower but we accepted that but the next day we only got cold water. We tried to call the front desk several times around 7am and got no response. At 8am my son took a shower and he was finally able to get hot water. We stayed in room 645 and across the hall was housekeeping. We could hear the door slamming consistently 40 - 50 times a day especially between 11-4 when we were trying to rest after the morning prelim swim sessions and before the final evening sessions. Again this is not the fault of the housekeeping staff but should never occur. We did inform the front desk but it was not resolved. Overall the staff was wonderful but the issues we experienced was unacceptable considering the cost of the hotel.

The entire hotel feels fresh and clean. Staff everywhere were amazing! Lobby is gorgeous, pool is fabulous and our rooms were lovely.
