This property is amazing! It is completely unique and so relaxing! We stayed in a raised hut. The view was gorgeous! It simply cannot be beat! The resort is so cool- it’s rich with music history and it’s decorated in Bahamian style with porches overlooking the sea. We loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were attentive and happy, and we appreciated them so much. This place is away from all of the hustle and bustle. It was a a getaway that we truly needed and appreciated. The retaining food was delicious and the drink menu is huge! We enjoyed our time in the pool as well as snorkeling along the pier of the resort. The fish were amazing and took some awesome GoPro videos. We also enjoyed lounging and swimming in the beautiful beach adjacent to the property called Love Beach. This place is a blessing! We are so fortunate to have stayed here! Thank you, Compass Point!

Compass Point was absolutely perfect. The hotel is bright, cheerful and clean. The staff were all amazing and did all they could to make our stay perfect. We arrived right before the country shutdown for the Coronavirus. In spite of all the rapid changes and fears the staff was there for us with bright smiles. We can’t wait to go back again!

Compass Point was a lovely place to stay close to Nassau if you want to get away from the madness of downtown shops, tourist traps, and cruise ships. The resort was quiet, well-kept, and felt private even though it was only a short ride to downtown via the local jitney or taxi. Everyone on staff was kind, accommodating, and responsive. Love Beach nearby was never crowded, and unblemished by casinos or yahoos. This is a great place to stay for a romatic getaway, bring your family, and have a truly restorative vacation!

This property is all about the location. The rooms are right on the water and the views could not be better. The whole property could use a professional renovation and the staff could be more friendly. We are glad we stayed here but I did get food poisoning. We enjoyed our walks on Love Beach, adjacent to the property. Room 115 is fantastic!

Loved the property. The rooms have great outdoor space to enjoy the ocean view and breezes. Also it is set up to do some light cooking if you just want a night in. Service was great keeping in mind that nothing is overly fast on island time. Only two drawbacks - food was a bit pricey and just so so. And this property is pretty remote which is great for staying out of the fray, but bus service stops at sundown so if you want to go off property at night the taxis are expensive! Overall though we loved it.

Wait staff was extremely slow.... Other then that it was just as we expected! We had a fabulous time. The food was 5* every meal. Helpful with knowledge around the island. Only because the wait staff was so painfully slow I give it a 3.5 rating.

This type of property allowed for just the right amount of privacy. Even though all the rooms were full, we often felt like we had the place to ourselves. Food and service were excellent. Accommodations were more than acceptable. Great little resort. Will visit again.

Beautiful and quiet with a rich history. Live music on weekends which can be loud if your close to the bar. Small quaint huts that are great for couples but really not room for anyone else. Quite a way from any liquor or grocery store. Everything faces the water which is amazing. Loved it!

The view was spectacular and proximity to Love Beach beside it was very nice. More garbage patrol amd seaweed raking needed on the beach as there was broken glass everywhere that we could’ve stepped on it. More pool maintenance needed to lift floaties out of pool. We felt safe and happy there and enjoyed the cabana experience with delicious restaurant available. The daily breakfast credit was great.

My experience at Compass Point Beach Resort was nothing short of a true blessing! It was exactly what I hoped and needed it to be. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Karen whose smile immediately confirmed that I was in the right place. She escorted me to my hut and after climbing the stairs and opening the door, my eyes feasted on a tastefully designed island colonial room that featured a king sized bed in gorgeous white linen – I nearly wept with gratitude. The property itself is precious, right at the water’s edge with a semi-private beach, which actually feels rather private with good soft white sand – a real hidden treasure. Added bonus, you can hear the ocean throughout the property! The meals were good and the outdoor dining and bar area provide views of spectacular sunsets - a lovely free show. The wait staff was friendly, particularly, the very kind Bouchard (sp?), the lovely Gia and the character known as Ramone. The property has adorable, rustic charm though some maintenance attention is needed here and there. For instance, I’m terribly allergic to mosquito bites and to my horror, the screens in the hut were not secured to the window frame. After several calls to the very patience and professional Helen, and after several attempts to fix the screens, the issue was finally resolved with great satisfaction. If you’re looking for simple luxury with a relaxed vibe, the Compass Point Beach Resort is the perfect place!

This is a nice resort if you’re looking for complete relaxation. Not much to do besides sit in the sun. No activities. The food is good at the restaurant, but food and drinks are VERY expensive. It’s at a quiet, remote area of the island. No rental opportunities for snorkels, jet skis, kayaks, etc. Lovely views, able to hear the waves from our private little cottage room and see the ocean from our front porch. Not sure this is the resort for families, but perfect for a couple who wants to get away from it all and not have activities nearby. Close 10 min ride from Nassau airport (20$ taxi ride) but if you want to venture to Atlantis it’s at least 50-60$ one way taxi ride.

Rustic beach bungalows. There are no actual windows, there are shutters and screens. You get the full experience of the beach at this resort. It is not glamorous but it's clean and cozy. If what you want is the ocean, beach, a few drinks and no crowds, this is your place. If you are looking for an Atlantis experience this is not for you.

Best Resort in the Bahamas!
Compass Point is an amazing location for a private and relaxing get away. I have been coming to Compass Point for a few years and have never once been disappointing in my stay. The staff is very friendly and quick act if you have any concern about your stay. The bar and restaurant is a great mix of people on holiday as well as locals which makes your experience that much better. The area around the resort has two fantastic restaurants that will give you a great opportunity to change the scenery without having to go all the way downtown. All in all, Compass Point is one of the best resorts that I have been to and will always make it my #1 vacation option.

What a get away this place is! Spent 6 days & 5 nights there... Location: fantastic. Away from the hustle & bustle. Very private; feels like the only resort for miles. Love beach - a 15 second walk, virtually deserted, unbelievable - looks like a commercial. Probably saw 6 other people the entire time...basically had the beach to ourselves. The airport is less than 2 miles away, but I thought the planes actually added to the experience. They do NOT fly right over the resort, and even the larger jets were not very loud. It was actually really cool to occasionally see a jet / small plane coming in from the unending landscape of the ocean. Don't worry about planes being a distraction! The resort: Unlike the massive hotels, this place has individual cabanas/huts, which makes the experience very personal and private. The grounds are extremely well maintained, and although the entire resort is relatively small, the layout makes it feel much bigger. There is a small pool and lounge area, a hot tub, a small gift shop, a spa, an indoor and outdoor dining area, a good sized bar, small beach area and a great dock with a covered gazebo. Everything was always very quiet. Hardly ever anyone in the pool or dock. Dining was never too crowded, and the food was ok (not fantastic, but fine). Overall: Amazing place. The beach / views sell it and I didn't want to leave! The staff are very friendly & polite. Location is very private and grounds, cabanas, common areas are very clean.

Easily one of the nicest hotels/resorts on the island. This said, the hotel needs some work and updating. The toilet in our room was broken and could only be flushed by removing the lid and manually pulling the chain. Paint was cracked and peeling. Ants were pervasive in the room even though we did not have any food or drinks with us. Avoid the restaurant as it was overpriced and underwhelming (everything we got was bland and overcooked). The hotel is near the airport (15 mins by cab) but quite far from town (30-40 mins by cab). A cab to town costs @ $30-40 depending on how your cabbie is feeling (no meters, so negotiate your rate upfront). The bus is cheap and quick but there's no schedule and it's last run is 730pm. It was a nice quit place until saturday night. I guess there's a night club in the restaurant which plays LOUD music both live and DJs until very late at night and it can be heard everywhere on the grounds. Get a room on the cliffside/beachfront; the views are worth the additional price to upgrade. The beach is, well, non-existent but there's one close by. Stock up on snacks and bottled water for your room or you'll be overcharged at the hotel. Enjoy

This little resort has a lot to offer! With kind attentive staff, clean comfort rooms and the quiet tranquility of the sea! We arrived late and someone was waiting for us! Our room was perfect! The individual cottages have a personable feeling with a great view! The Resturant was amazing! Food great, all staff made sure we were attended to! The Bar tenders were all very nice! Ron attended to us and made sure not only drinks but food was on point. We had lobster and fried fish! Breakfast was good with nice fresh fruit and great coffee! Relaxing was the name of the game and we did! I would high recommend the Spa with Sharon and Sophia! They both have Magical hands! We visit frequently to Nassau and we would definitely return to Compass Point!

The hotel is near love beach and near a bus stop which can take you east towards the city . All the employees were friendly and offered great advice on ways to travel and things to see. Our room didn't have a lot of lighting so it was hard to see if it was clean or not, especially the bathroom, the light was broken. We visited when it was a little chilly at night (~65 degrees) and with the open concept of the windows, made our room very chilly and not too comfortable to sleep. The heaters they provided only worked for a minute and would turn off. Otherwise our stay was very nice, I liked that we got a breakfast credit and the food and bar was great :)

Little Gem
A little out of the way gem. This is a lovely, quiet spot close enough to visit the more populous areas but far enough that you're in your own little world. The bar and restaurant area gets some visitors throughout the day (they show NFL and NBA games if you're into that sort of thing) and night so you can join in if you choose or hang out by the pool, out on the dock or hide out in your bungalow. Nearby Love Beach is nice for a stroll or a quick dip and further along, folks tend to hang out around Nirvana Bar area. Snorkeling and swimming in the ocean at the front of the resort is fine, more relaxing than anything and of course you have the pool or hot tub if you don't want to venture out. Service is great and incredibly helpful. There are a couple of restaurants around the neighborhood but that's about it. Cab or bus is the best way to get around if you want to check out a few of the sights around the island.

What a dream! This hotel is paradise. I have to admit I was worried after I read some of the reviews before I arrived, people write about rude servers and that its hard to get to the beach and that airplanes flying overhead were annoying but I found all of those complaints to be exaggerations. The entire staff was so sweet and the beach which was a cute little path 1 minute was pristine with chairs and hammocks and the airplanes flying overhead were totally romantic! The room was clean and comfortable with a huge bed and a really nice shower. The ocean was surrounding the entire property. The grounds were maintained beautifully. Anytime I needed any help arranging a tour or had any questions they helped me right away at the front desk. I would come back here in a heartbeat although its expensive it felt better than any 5 star hotel I ever stayed at because of THE seclusion and THE GOOD VIBES !
