Less than what we expected. Not too much to do on resort but we nice beach and in all a good time. Not enough chairs/umbrellas for the pools and beach area and towel card was annoying especially when people take your towels when you are in the pool not watching.

Nice beach, rooms need updating and staff was nice

Posted Mar 14, 2017
Pros: Beach
Cons: Rooms and resort orientation
After reviewing and reviewing where to stay, we chose Melia because a friend of mine stayed there a week prior. We were excited to upgrade to the Level, which was worth it. Only that, our room doesn't quite feel upgraded. There was noticable rust on the drain and shower head. The towels felt rough. The minibar was never replenished when we were there. I do have to say that the beach is nice, especially in the Level area where there are padded chairs and they serve you food and drinks. Service IS slow, but that was also because there were 1 (at very seldom times 2) server/s in the Level area, catering to 20-30 cabanas/chairs/guests at a time. Food at the hotel was meh, I had higher expectations for Bahamas but my boyfriend and I decided to go out of the resort for authentic Bahamian food (at Fish Fry) which was terrific! Bahamian people are generally nice and overall we had a good relaxing time. Hope they upgrade some of their rooms soon and train front desk on how to direct people and tell them where amenities/facilities are (needless to say, we had to find some place on our own some days).

This resort is worn and out dated. Service is slow and staff was not always friendly. The buffet was sparse. You have to pay a $10 delivery charge to have food brought to your room and that's after waiting an hour and a half for your food. Skip this place and go to the Riu.

Good hotel. Hard to get drinks and food sometimes though. For an all inclusive, those should be available all the time.

Much nicer than expected;

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Pros: General condition, location from the Airport and being on the beach
Cons: Greater emphasis should be made about reserving dinner in advance of the arrival vs when you first check in if possible
Location: We never went out of the resort, however, short money to go to Atlantis to gamble
food is better than average; room cleanliness is very good and the overall facilities are nice. We had fresh towels every day in our room. the location is excellent and there are ample areas to enjoy the multiple pools. the beach is excellent and tons of chairs to sun tan. its like spring break for adults. its a $25-30 cab ride for four from the airport and of course little to no traffic to deal with. I would go back again. Though most everything is inclusive, tipping goes a long way to improved response time for drinks and food

Nice all-inclusive hotel.

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Pros: Nice restaurants and close enough to Nassau but still far enough away. A quick bus ride, which is right outside the door, for $1.25 to Nassau.
Cons: The hotel should add more staff or busy boys at the restaurants as the service was very slow. However, they were all nice and accommodating.
Location: The resort hosted activities from morning until night and it is a quick bus or taxi ride to Nassau or cute little stores across the street.
My friend and I spend 5 days at Melia. I found the rooms comfortable and clean, the resort intimate but plentiful, the food was decent for an all-inclusive place, and an very nice experience. It was an enjoyable getaway with three nice pools with one of which is an adult only with a swim up bar, a clean beach area (but rocky), friendly and accommodating staff, but slow in the restaurants so bring your patience.

Nice hotel with great beach.

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Pros: Beach is great.
We loved the beach, great for kids. Recommend upgrade to level. Hotel staff was very friendly. We enjoyed Nikkei restaurant the most. Also, tried Black Angus (which is not part of the all inclusive plan) and it was excellent. We had a very relaxing vacation and enjoyed the Melia. Great place if you have kids. They have a kids club and the kids loved it.
