This hotel should not be advertised online. Reviews were very deceptive. Major water and Wifi problems

The REAL Bahamas!

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Nettie Simone is the owner and she made us feel SO welcome -- like old friends. She is preserving island culture we will cherish, too.
Cons: Morning coffee simple breakfast like yogurt & fruit
Location: Cable beach right across the road -- great location! #10 bus direct to downtown just $1.50 Supermkt around the corner has everything US
We loved Casuarinas Hotel. It suited us perfectly. Fresh-water pool in the central courtyard and Cable Beach just across the road & #10 bus direct to downtown for $1.50. Lunch and dinner in the hotel featured local fare: grouper, chicken, rice'n'peas, and guava duff for dessert. Nice little cocktail bar. Rooms spic and span -- cleaned daily with fresh towels. We didn't know we'd be in Bahamas for Junkanoo, but were we lucky! Parades from 1 am to noon all morning on Boxing Day with fabulous handmade costumes and floats and brass & drum bands from beginning to end. It was amazing and we soaked up the culture and the super friendly islanders. What a great place for a Christmas get-away. None better!

Close to airport

Pros: Close to airport
Decent bed close to the airport for an overnight layover in Nassau. Friendly staff. Rooms were ok. Don't expect too much and you will pleased.
