Love this place. Every time we stay it gets better. The views are gorgeous, lots of trail walking and outdoor things to do. The porch was made for rocking. Last time the hotel staff neede improvement -this time they are shining stars. Very courteous and friendly. Thanks for listening! Everyone needs to stay here and get away from big town life. Natitoches is nearby and lovely if you need a fix!

I was under the impression from the website that it was a room that had a table and chairs to sit outside and see the lake. They put us in a room that was not that of resort quality. The bed was not great and the bathroom was not great. We walked to the patio and that was nice. Spiderwebs everywhere. We decided to eat outside where there was another couple just ordering before us. They brought them table mats with great service. We waited and waited and I had to go inside and ask where our food was. They had not turned in the order while they did everything for that other couple. No table mats for us and struggled with martini s,water and wine. We fussed at the waitress when she came to give us the ticket. She treated the other couple wonderful and ignored us. Never again.

Terrible place to stay.

Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Don't know. Visiting friends.
We arrived at 545pm. We were told we could not check in because employee was on break. Finally she returned. We received our keys and left for supper. Upon our return at 915pm, we could not get into our room. Contacted front desk and maintenance was sent out. We get in finally. The A/C does not work. It is 85 degrees in the room. Another call and another visit from maintenance. It cannot be fixed. We transferred to another room. It is now 945pm. The A/C works but no cable. Another call to the front desk. Informed that a storm came thru LAST WEEK. They are sorry. Go to bathroom. Tub is filthy. No drain in tub just an opening. Disgusted and going to bed. 1030pm get a call from front desk. They will upgrade to a deck room. It has cable. Really???? We decline due to time and we need to be up early. Get up following morning and take shower. The drain does not work. I am standing in shower water that is not hot but lukewarm. After exiting tab, it drains and the blue stuff all over tub is gone. Obviously it had not been cleaned since previous guest. The front desk cannot do anything because it was booked thru Expedia. Not sure I would use Expedia again since this terrible experience. Other rooms were great. Karen Dailey

Dear Karen, I imagine at this point there is not a lot we can say that would tell you how disappointed we are about your stay. We obviously missed the boat in several area. Not normal for us however it certainly effected you and that is unfortunate. I have learned we refunded your money for your stay which was the right thing to do. Nice resort on the golf course.

Pros: great location for the lake, beautiful view of the lake and 18th hole of golf course, staff very friendly
Cons: restaurant was over priced, greens on course were terrible. but it is very early spring. Layout of course is awesome
Location: golf or lake is about it for activities
evrything was just as expected except restaurant prices were obsurd

Either Expedia screwed up or the Hotel screwed up

Basically when I got there to check in, I had not room. I showed them the confirmation I had received from Expedia, but still no room. The hotel was booked so we left very upset. In addition to the hotel having issue I will no longer use Expedia. Expedia you are hereby fired.
