Great hotel for visiting local historical sites.

Pros: There was adequate parking, and the receptionist was very helpful. Service in the restaurant was also excellent.
Cons: The control for the shower was working but damaged.
Location: We stayed here to get an early start for visiting Newgrange and Knowth archaeological sites, but there is plenty of other interest around.
We arrived on a Saturday evening and there was a large social gathering going on which was a bit noisy but very friendly. Once they went off to their large hall/conference room we had a great meal at a very reasonable price. The receptionist, Kathleen, was extremely helpful in helping us check in on line with our return Ryanair flight otherwise we would have incurred punitive charges. The room was fine, the bathroom a little dated but all was clean.

Convient hotel close to Newgrange Neolithic sites.

Pros: The proximity to ancient sites.
Cons: The room decor could be modernised.
Location: The hotel was close to the exceptional visiting sites of the neolithical period.
After visiting the Neolithic sites of Newgrange and Knowth we were ready for a comfortable stay. The food was good, although staff not overly attentive, the room was comfortable with the decor probably requiring modernising, the ensuite was very well appointed.

Late night shivers at Navan Hotel

Went for meal in town and returned to hotel at 1.30am, hotel door was locked and we could not get in. Had to ring the bell to get the door opened for us, porter arrived 7 minutes later, called to us from door with a very bad attitude. When we said we were waiting outside in the cold he was rude, no apology, aggressive. We reminded him we were 'guests' he just spoke back to us in a very rude manner. We are two ladies in our mid fifties and expect better treatment than this in a hotel stay.

Wonderful staff and lovely hotel

The entire staff from reception to wait staff were very friendly and helpful, even printing out directions to Newgrange for us and calling to find out time for next tour. Crystal chandeliers and a lovely pub made a very nice impression. Very clean and comfortable room. We would have stayed another night, but they were booked and even contacted other hotels to check for us.

I only stayed for one night, but the hotel is excellent, with fantastic, helpful staff. I would recommend it to others!
