This is a wonderful property compared to the chain hotels found locally. I was very pleased with staff and the very comfortable bed. My only disappointment is that the AC was off on my arrival and off again during the day while we were away coming back again to a very hot room. I understand trying to be thrifty but in Texas heat even in the fall a nice cool room when you arrive back from working outside all day is preferable to one that must take a couple hours to cool down.

Lovely little motel to stay at when I am in town. Had a shower issue that got resolved quickly by the staff so I didn’t end up having to switch rooms. Easy parking, room was clean.

Hidden Gem of Navasota

We stay here when we come to town for Texas Renaissance Festival. It is a hidden gem, the bed and pillows are amazing, and the owners remembered me from the last time!

Quiet, clean, affordable

Quick easy drive from College Station, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room had cold, refreshing AC. The room was very clean and had all the basic necessities. It is apparent the owners are doing their best to make upgrades and make the rooms nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff person on duty late at night and early in the morning was very efficient and friendly, which made the stay at the Vanguard Motel very easy and nice. The room was very inexpensive, but was very clean and just right for our stay in Navasota!

Awesome hidden gem!

I've stayed here twice for business in Bryan, and I've had great experiences both times. Very clean room with comfortable beds. The owner, Charlie, is super friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for a nice, quiet spot to stay just outside of College Station, I highly recommend Vanguard.
