Dear Guy Thank you for your lovely comments following your recent stay and to have chosen our Hotel Indigo Rome – St. George I was delighted to hear that you had a memorable stay with us and that we exceeded your expectation. Your kind comments about our comfortable rooms, our relaxing rooftop bar and our great location are highly appreciated. I have shared your comment with my whole team as you have mentioned their service. We are very much grateful for your compliments! I am sorry if you found our dinner overpriced, but I can guarantee that our prices are in line with the prices of the hotels of equal level nearby. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience and I sincerely hope to see you soon again in Rome. Kind regards, Alessandro Geminiani General Manager

Wow - what else could we possibly ask for....

Posted Aug 11, 2017
Pros: Location, service, amenities, restaurant, cleanliness.
Cons: Air-conditioning in the room was trying hard to cope with the heatwave and not as cold as it could have been.
Location: Very central, near the Tiber, Vatican, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon.
We recently revisited this hotel for a short, three night stay in the middle of what even the Italians thought of as a heatwave. The moment you step into its air-conditioned lobby you know you have arrived at one of the best in Rome - from the concierge to the bar staff, the breakfast staff to the cleaning ladies the staff are exceptional; nothing is too much, service is exceptional and help and advice there when you need it. Nothing intrusive, just there. We stayed in one of the suites overlooking the Via Giulia - a lovely cobbled street leading to Trastavere (only 5 minutes away) and opposite alleyways leading to Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain etc. You could not get it more central; the Vatican is a mere 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast at Indigo St George is a delight; from fresh pastries, a naughty little prosecco, muesli, fresh fruit, yogurts, a whole honey comb, juices in every variety to scrambled eggs - it is all there and served with the usual efficiency. A few words about Francesco and Claudia and their staff at the rooftop restaurant: nothing is too much trouble (they have four different flavours of salt and four different sugars for your espresso!) and the dining experience, overlooking Rome, is a must. My husband tried out the gym on this occasion and spent some happy hours in the sauna and steam room (no doubt aided by the fantastic lemon drinks on offer on nearly every floor). All in all - fantastic and nothing else you could possibly ask for.

So so nice...

I travel a lot with work, all around the world... I am a marriott platinum member, The Hotel Indigo in Rome beat my experiences with the best JW Marriott 's around the world. It came down to the little things and the staff... So friendly, attention to detail, the cleanliness, food and drink were excellent. The only wish was a slightly larger gym and an outdoor pool for the 40 degree heat... can't have everything... such a great location and experience.

Dear James Thank you for taking the time to share your experience after your recent stay with us at Hotel Indigo Rome – St. George I am very pleased to understand that the overall impression about the IHG hotel, room, and service was good and that we exceeded your expectations. I am also proud to hear so kind words about my staff. I am thrilled to learn that we are always able to leave a positive impression, the team will be delighted. I would like to underline that the Hotel Indigo Rome-St. George is housed by a beautiful 15th century building which gives the hotel great character and charm, however, due to Italian regulations, we are unable to modify the shape or the size of any rooms (also for the gym) and this is one of the reasons why some of them do not provide generous space. We all look forward to having another opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future. Kind regards, Alessandro Geminiani General Manager

Neighborhood Feel Yet Still Close to City Center

Posted Mar 30, 2017
I didn't know what to expect for my first time in Italy, but we are not a big fan of overly touristy areas, but still enjoy the comfort of knowing the locals will speak English. We chose Hotel Indigo because it was the highest rated (by users) 5 Star hotel on Expedia. It lived up to all of the reviews. I would suggest it is more boutique than it is luxury and you see the same staff everyday, we were a well acquainted by the end. The location was perfect because it fit in a neighborhood wedged between Vatacian City, the Tigre River And Cory Center. Every tourist site was within a leisurely 20 min walk. Nothing but good things to say about the stay.

Well run hotel. English speaking staff who are lovely and helpful. Nice roof top bar and luncheon restaurant. Bathroom to small and shower poorly designed so entire bathroom floor gets wet. Small amount of closet hanging space. Nice touch to have smart phone available with Rome info and maps.

great hotel, quiet street close to all the action

Posted Jul 10, 2016
Wonderful property with location near piazza navona / campo de fiori, central and easily walkable to all sights in Rome, but on a quiet street. Was recommended to us by a friend and very glad we took his advice. Renovated, modern, sizable rooms and bathrooms, beautiful common areas - breakfast buffet was very nice and served outside on the courtyard. Value for the rate we paid was great - we took a superior room for the majority of the stay but had a standard room for 1 night because we messed up our dates - it would have been fine from a size perspective as well. All of the staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We travel through Rome regularly and will stay at Hotel Indigo - St George again.
