The property is rundown but is getting a full renovation in January. The staff did more than makeup for any shortfalls of the property. There is an excellent rooftop lounge area and two tubs. Property is in a great location even though the tram was on new tracks and a little loud outside. We would come back when renovations are complete, just for Joy ,Patricia and Josua!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had was an interesting and quirky space with 2 bedrooms, one of which had a very small terrace off it where you could seat 4 people in a squeeze for an aperitivo. Be aware the Jacuzzi is cold water, very cold. Breakfast is ordered by filling out a card the day before, and rather meager compared to other hotels where it's typically a buffet-style.

Property did not impress. Jacuzzi was the reason I chose this hotel one was out of order and the second was freezing and unuseable. Room was dark not enough light. Bed was hard as a rock. Was supposed to have continental breakfast which was told we had to pay for when we arrived. Doors left open so not very secure feeling. Concierge only there 8 am to 6 pm so not able to get help at the times we were in the hotel as out during the days. Used the one teabag in the room on first night and no tea was ever replaced. No milk or creamer available. Would not use again if we go back.

Pros: Rooftop area was great. Staff were really nice. Good location close to restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Cons: Shower flooded the floor. Room smelled mouldy, room was quite dark, air conditioning squealed.

Joshua was the absolute complete host
Joshua made our stay absolutely fantastic he went above and beyond, it was great to book a jacuzzi room after a long day out in Rome, the breakfast was OK, the hotel is due for an update in January 2024, our room was good but the air conditioning was noisy the shower was very high tech. Would love to return after the update

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the property was in a great location and walkable to all nearby famous landmarks. The balcony and roof garden with hot tubs were a bonus! Especially the view of the ruins where julius Caesar died! Only downside beds and pillows were very hard and breakfast quite repetitive. But on the whole would recommend and stay again. Many thanks

We stayed in a room that accommodated 4, we were slightly disappointed with the room considering how much we paid. The AC did not work well and the inside was pretty outdated. For $450 a night we expected much more luxury than what was provided.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace was cool. The condition of the property however left something to be desired. The hot tub and cold plunge pool were not usable. They were both filthy. This was disappointing since it was one of the big draws of booking at this hotel. The room was clean enough but also had some upkeep issues. Think I will look somewhere else for any future stays in Rome.

Hard to find reception, but when you do the hotel is very cute. Staff are helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed breakfast on the balcony. Great location to walk to almost all the common attractions.

Amazing views
The best parts about this place were the location and the views from the roof. It was easy to walk to most major things. Lots of food within a few minutes and great gelato place across the street. The hot tubs and views on the roof/ room balcony were so beautiful. Breakfast was adequate. It is a little quirky, hidden away on the 5th floor of an apartment building. There's a tiny elevator you can take. The only real issues we had were that the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor and that they set up a taxi for us back to the airport and no one told us it was cash only. For 50€ they should have accepted credit. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Great managers ..and hosts, but not what we liked
Some things just weren't up to standard for a hotel,we were shocked to see many leaks seeping in bathroom floor, and were quite disappointed on how small our room was, and no window or padio to go out on. As we were told we would have and at the price we paid (3500 Canadian) we stayed for 13 nites ( ahead of time no refund), our bathroom showers never cleaned,and I did ask. Black SCUM was all over it. The pictures really didnt no justice of detail, nothing at all as shown online. Our beds were board/hard. That being said, we did enjoy ourselves in the very heart of Rome and overlooking the rooftop view was amazing. And having breakfast on top roof was nice. We saw the pics online and thought it was modern ,yet quirky..but not at all... I would not give this even a 3 star, and I will not be returning here when we come back.

The staff members are very nice and informative, and great breakfast provided. Yet the facilities in the hotel is very very old. The actual room does not look like the one shown in the picture. Would not recommend this hotel.

Quirky boutique hotel
Nice central hotel within walking distance of all the sites, small boutique hotel on the top floor of a building, nice friendly staff, breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with views of the city.

Definitely not what it looks like in reality!!
We had booked the suite for my daughter husband and I. I was very disappointed it was dusty and quite tatty in places ie bed heads etc The door of the suite opened out to unkept decking and the outside space needed painting. Artificial grass looked like it had just be thrown down to cover over tired wood and pipes. There were 2 hot tubs unfortunately my daughter and I used this and I slid and hurt my arm. On return home later that day I had to attend hospital my wrist was broken!! I am also suffering from fractured ribs!! I would warn any other guests re this disastrous end to my holiday. This place is not what it appears.

It is a wonderful, cozy place, in a very convenient location! Two rooftop hot tubs are open 24hrs and amazing to relax in after walking around all day. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, which was a much needed change after our first night at another hotel which was a pretty rough start. We ended our time in Rome here and we're more than satisfied. Will be back!

Perfect location, great breakfast served on a beautiful roof terrace. Amazing 24hr rooftop hot tubs perfect for watching the evening sunsets with a glass of wine after long hot days of sightseeing! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Great place and location
Rooms are small and the shower is in the room, so that was awkward for my daughter and I. But the kindness of the staff and the rooftop breakfast made up for it!! Great place and great location !!

Great location - we were able to walk to all major sites (Vatican being the longest but easy 28 minute walk). Joshua was very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are on fifth floor - there is a tiny lift (two people with luggage). It is a noisy location especially when the tram goes by. However, given the great location, would stay again.

Great location and very nice modern style room. I was visiting my daughter who was studying at the American University of Rome. It was a very convenient to her campus and to all the sights.

Its an apart-hotel on the 5th floor. Looks like a converted penthouse with basically a tiny reception, and doors to rooms. No breakfast or breakout areas or bar. Breakfast served only on tired old roof garden. Only manned until 8pm. Poorly lit entrance and clunky lift

Fantastic staff and overall wonderful experience. Without a doubt would stay here again! Two things lacking from the room was an additional garbage can in the main room area and shelving space for toiletries. Other than that, this place deserves all the praise. The owner is lucky to have staff like Joshua and Javlin. Stay here, the views are stunning! Location is prime. Breakfast was awesome too.

This place will make you fall in love with Rome.
This is the coolest spot in Rome. Nothing beats that rooftop and those hot tubs after a long day of sightseeing. The location in my opinion is the best, you can get to Piazza Navona, The Pantheon, The Trevi Fountain, The Forum, The Colosseum, and The Altare Della Patria within 10-15 minutes walk. The staff here is also exceptional.

Location and Terrace
The location was perfect. About halfway between the Vatican and the Colliseum. The rooftop terrace was one of the coolest things about this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel is on the top floor of a building. You go through two locked doors to get to the small elevator. The whole experience was unique but cool.

The location of this hotel is incredible, the staff even more so. They are helpful but not in an instrusive way at all. Within 5 minute walk you'll be at the Pantheon, Piazzia Navona and you have your breakfast overlooking the ancient ruins where Julius Cesar was killed. In the opposite direction within 5 minutes there at Pont Garibaldi there are some lovely restaurants on the River Tiber. 2 minutes further on there is the most wonder area, where it seems mostly the Romans go themselves, the restaurants are just amazing and the area is not overrun with tourists. But overall the location, cleanliness and helpful staff of the Relais Badoer make it a must stay venue. Also Jolwin and Joshua organised a car to pick us up at Ciampino and return us to Ciampino airport. It was 35 euro each way, door to door, no messing with buses or taxis. (I found the taxis - on 2 occasions - charged a random price, ie. to go 1 km was 15 euro) This was the only negative thing that I found but it does not relate to the Relais Badoer in any way. We, my nephew and I, hugely enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Three Days in Rome
Excellent staff, arranged car service to/from transportation centers, attentive to one's needs beyond the basics. Great terrace service (excellent breakfast, croissant, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt and of course coffee). Walking distance to all major sites, otherwise close to public transportation.

After booking a triple room to accommodate parents and a teenage son, we were disappointed to be shown to rather small double. Staff admitted they had got the booking wrong and would set up a folding bed. This made it all very cramped. We were advised we could change rooms the next day. Unfortunately this was not the case. It appeared that the previous occupants were unhappy with the lighting set up and had been given our room and as you would expect were unwilling to change back. We were happy with the hotel location as very close to the major sightseeing locations so did not wish to move hotels to a location further out. Local tax and a couple of free drinks were knocked off our final account as a result.

Lovely small hotel
The hotel is a small but well equipped, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic, very close to the Pantheon and Pizza Navona, it within walking distance of all Rome has to offer. I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next I return to Rome. Our first room was a little on the small side so as soon as a larger room became available the staff moved our belongings to the larger room, which was fantastic with a double balcony with views to die for. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great little boutique hotel in an even better location and with amazing view from both the room and the roof terrace! The host couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, even going as far as to make us tea/coffee with pastries after a long walk around the Vatican!he was able to tell us where everything was, how to get to it and even recommendations on great places to eat! (Which were all amazing!) The jacuzzis on the roof terrace come in very handy after a long days walking the sights, made even better with a glass of wine relaxing and taking in the view.

This is a central location
This is my fourth visit to Rome in recent years and i have to say the most enjoyable, the hotel is 5 mins walking from the Parthenon, 10 mins to Trevi, 15 mins to the Coliseum and 25/30 mins to the Vatican. It is very clean with an excellent manager and staff who cannot do enough for you cannot praise them high enough. Great Ice Cream shop just 50m away by the traffic lights and a restaurant just past the Parthenon called the Habana are well worth a visit. Breakfasts are basic but good enough to keep you going through the day with a couple of hot tubs on the roof for the warmer months. Had a great shower in the room with lots of hot water even though my first shower was cold my fault for not turning the water on!! Doh. My only very minor negative was not the hotels fault but they dealt very well with a drunken American who decided to shout the street down at 4 in the morning hope you read this shame on you!! Great hotel looking to go back in September or October.

Quirky but we loved it!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Relais Badoer in Rome. Upon first impression, we were slightly sceptical as the only sign outside was a small one above a flat buzzer however once upstairs to the top floor we found the small but beautiful hotel. Our room was small but very clean and perfect for what we wanted. We had a fantastic view from our large balcony and my favourite part was the amazing shower! We were welcomed by the man at reception and given a quick tour of the roof terrace and how to use the jacuzzi etc. He then sat us down with a quick but informative chat about where to go, what to do and where the hotel was situated on the map. He was extremely friendly and helpful. Although the booking came with breakfast included, we unfortunately were so busy we didn't get a chance to have this. We did however enjoy the free mini bar in the room and free drinks on the roof terrace for New Year's Eve. Staff here would bend over backwards to help you and always offering free tea and coffee. I would come back here in a heart beat!!

A centrally located friendly hotel
The hotel is centrally located and you can explore Rome easily from here. Most major sites are within walking distance. The staff are really friendly and are always happy to help. They are not on site all the time but this was not an issue for us. We had the suite for our family of four and this was perfect for us. This also gave us direct access to the roof top terrace from our room which was an added benefit.

A great little hotel with a big heart
We had a lovely time the jacuzzi was heavenly after a day of sightseeing. Right outside is an ancient site which is a cat sanctuary we spent everyday visiting them . Would stay here again everyone was so friendly. Our room was really nice as there was 3 of us sharing we still had room .

We stayed 3 nights and were well looked after. Breakfast was good and they even let us have it early afternoon following very early Vatican tour. The room had a lovely balcony that got the afternoon sun and we were right in the middle of all the main attractions so we could walk everywhere. Great local restaurants and the roof top jacuzzi was fantastic after sight seeing.

Great centraly located hotel
We stayed here for a week and found it perfectly positioned for all the sights. We walked everywhere. It was good to have the area on the rooftop to relax at night, sometimes in the spa tub. Breakfast in the mornings was a mix of cold meats/cheese, bakery goods, juice + hot drink - perfect start to a day sightseeing. The room was slightly small but had a great view with a small balcony. One evening someone had forgotten to shut the lift door so the lift didn't come down to the ground floor when called - it is a long way up stairs after a day on Rome's streets! The small hallway can be a bit noisy when people are opening/shutting room doors but apart from that we had a very comfortable stay and would recommend a stay here.
