Day trip to Versailles

Posted Jul 8, 2016 on Hotels
WE wanted to visit Versaille (about 20km from hotel). Room wasn't ready but staff made us coffee whilst it was finished (15 mins). Stayed in room Thetis which had wonderful views, staff carried luggage to room, 2nd floor up winding stairs (no lift). Hotel a little tired and restaurant menu very limited (unless you went gastronomic with gastronomic prices) so we didn't eat in. That aside we would recommend hotel and its village. Staff exceptionally helpful.

Very nice old style hotel

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, old charm feel to it. Property was large and nice.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to Versailles. About 30-45 minutes from Paris.
The hotel is 15 minutes from Versailles in a really nice area. It has an old money feel to it, almost like a southern USA plantation house. It has a lot of character and the room was comfortable and quiet.

Great hotel very poor breakfast

12euros was very expensive for a cool cup of coffee and a piece of bread the allotted one croissant had been taken by someone else no more were forthcoming I am afraid it spoilt what would have been a good hotel

Classic taste of a bygone age

Nice typical aged large French villa that is now hotel. Of course with age comes some character and shabby chic look, but room carpets/bed/bathroom good and lovely garden and surrounding area. Friendly staff.
