parking and noise issues

Posted Aug 31, 2015
Parking fee was undisclosed by Expedia and the hotel said it needed prebooked. I was almost unable to get parking for the stay. The room was comfortable but come 7am the room was very noisy being next to outdoor public seating area and under the conference center.

Peaceful & Relaxing stay in upscale community

Posted Aug 25, 2015
Through a miscommunication we ended up booked into the Sheraton Needham rather than the Sheraton Boston. It ended up being a good thing as we saved probably in excess of $200 per night and we had a wonderfully enjoyable stay. The hotel is located in the beautiful picturesque town of Needham in a business park type setting. We considered renting a car but heard of the notorious traffic & parking in Boston & thought we would try relying on the train. The subway station (a beautifully restored railway station from the 1800's) was 5 minutes away by their complimentary shuttle. The Boston subway system ("the T") was fantastic and we utilized the T almost exclusively with an uber here and there if we were outside of shuttle hours. The commute to downtown was an enjoyable 35 minute ride with beautiful scenery until it goes underground in the city. The T was very clean, perfectly air conditioned and felt very safe. Once downtown we were in the throngs of tourist but in Needham things were quiet & peaceful. We happened to cut through the Sheraton Boston lobby one day & it made me feel grateful we were away from the crowds. There must have been 150 people in the lobby - occupying every seat, standing in every corner (maybe to use the wifi) and line ups for the front desk were 20 people long as was the wait for the elevator. I am certain the wait to be served or make it to your room took almost as long as our subway to our hotel.

Retirado, pero buena opción con coche

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Buena opción para ir con coche. Está cerca de un polígono y no tiene buena comunicación sin disponer de vehículo. Personal amable, aunque el hotel es un poco impersonal. Nos interesaba estar cerca de Wellesley y fue una buena opción.

The hotel was in a location close to where we needed to be. Two faults about the stay was when entering the room for the first time, there floor didn't look like it had been vacuumed, and secondly, there were three adults staying in the room and they only left enough linens for two people. I would have thought the cleaning staff would know how many people to a room so that they could leave adequate bath linens.

Hotel walls are thinner than a Motel 6

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Ellie, the night clerk.
Cons: Rooms 230-233 ought to be investigated to see if soundproofing should be added to mitigate these unacceptable noise levels.
The walls at this Sheraton are paper thin. While settling into my room I heard the unexpected noise of the guests in the room next to mine urinating and then flushing their toilet. I heard the noise repeated within a 15 minute time span along with the f-bomb laced conversation of these same guests. The urination sounds and conversations were so distinct, that I felt as though they were in the same room with me. I called the front desk to complain and was told that they would try to move my reservation, but that all of the walls in the hotel were constructed in the same manner. Ellie, the night clerk, moved me to the the 4th floor where we heard no noise from our neighbors. However, the old-style a/c registers in the room were noisy and cycled on and off throughout the night, thereby destroying my ability to gain a good night's rest. I shared this with the morning clerk who responded by taking the parking fee off of my bill. BTW, Expedia does not share that this hotel has a parking fee of $12 per night, which I was not expecting when I checked in.

Business hotel in industrial area .

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Near a highway
Cons: Beds, sheets, food
Location: 20 minutes from Boston
Front desk staff very nice . Hotel room adequate but sheets while clean were old and along with a dated mattress made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. Hotel restaurant needs attention. Soggy club sandwich and when room service breakfast was delivered the order was wrong. $46.00 for 4 pancakes was ridiculous!

Expensive and Disappointing Business Stay

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Not much!
Cons: Just about everything.
Location: On business not recreation.
Upon check in informed parking as $12.00 / night. Parking garage was a climb and less than secure. Staff was annoyed and sort on details without asking. Seemed to be annoyed I booked through Expedia and "prepaid" was written on all of my documentation including my keys which was 2nd class and demeaning. The room has someone else shoes left under one bed and some trash on the floor. Surprising for a Sheraton. I am now double charged for my "extras" on my credit card which includes the parking and one meal. I will have to follow up to get the charges resolved. What a mess for a one night stay on the run between business appointments. The room was pretty average for $300.00 night and substandard.
