Great location..easy beach accessPosted Nov 3, 2015
I have stayed here twice in the past and it was good..Always great and helpful staff, clean rooms everyday with all the basics you need.My ac stopped working this time but I was given another room immediately which was nice..The bed was hard as a rock though..so that was the only downer..Also the food in the onsite restaurant had gone downhill..but lots of eateries nearby. No WiFi in the rooms you have to go to lobby for internet. They to have great security 24/7 which is a bonus. All in all not bad for a budget hotel..and I had a kitchen so I could Cook if I wanted to.If you're looking for a quiet peaceful place on the beach this is a good find for the price.

If there's nothing else, not a bad option!Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: Balcony eating area.
Cons: The hotel needs remodling, looks rundown.
The pictures of this hotel do not match the actual accommodations. The AC, a necessity when staying in Negril most of the time of the year, did not have a remote to control the settings. While it kept it cool not at a cold enough level most of the time. The place and especially the rooms looks a little run down. For me, having stayed at smaller resorts in Jamaica, I was uncomfortable staying at such a large place. There was rust spots and black spots in the bathroom almost everywhere. The best was super worn out to the point I felt a spring in my side. It is a nice size room an maybe there are nicer rooms beach side that make the balcony area worth it but there are most definitely better economy places to stay at.

Acceptable.Posted Jul 8, 2015
Wouldn't recommend for the younger generation. Wifi was out the entire time and the staff did not seem to do anything about it, and many of the guests were trying to conduct business during their stay. Also, a lot of amenities listed on the site were not available in the room (dishes and cooking ware). Also, the rooms were very outdated overall.

frozen with 100% chance of bug bitesPosted May 5, 2015 on Hotels
i had little concern for the neighborhood because I've stayed nearby previously. Savvy solo travelers can feel comfortable getting around but it's not a block from stores etc. My frustration was the rusted tub, slippery floor (bug spray or sunblock?), lack of a key to the safe, no remote for the AC, window in the bathroom that wouldn't close (itchy, blistering bug bites from head to toe from this one), and no one manning the desk moments after check in and no one at check out. I had no choice but to roast or freeze because the AC was set too cold and could be turned off at the breaker or left on. The beach is standard basics but no amenities to be found. The artist on the beach is awesome!!

Nice hotel to stay.Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Very quiet and room are very big with lot of hot water. The staff are very nice and easy to talk to. They know customer service.
Cons: Hotel is in need of inside and outside work. You can start with changing electrical wiring, showers rod, and pipe fitting. if you do people will come.
Location: Location is very good lot of places to go and the beach is just couple minute from your room.
If you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay this is the place. The hotel need update and remodeling, but to me no problem. I will stay there again, and I am planning on going back very soon.

Great Location, Hotel needs work.Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Complimentary beach chairs; TV; Mini fridge; Terrace with patio furniture; Location; Wifi; On-site restaurant.
Cons: Hotel facilities needs major upgrades.
Location: 7 mile beach and Bourbon beach are walking distance. Margaritaville and Rick's Cafe just a short taxi away.
I was skeptical about this hotel after reading some reviews. The lady at the registration counter was very friendly. No deposit, no paperwork during check-in. The sheets on both beds were obviously unwashed, there were multiple food stains. Pillows were old and raggedy. There were no towels, washcloths, or soap until our second day (guess they forgot to restock from the last guests). There was a mini-fridge which was nice. The private terrace was great with nice patio chairs and table. There are cats everywhere, but that's fine, they're cute and keep rats away. Location is perfect, right on the beach with plenty bars, restaurants, and venders. Complimentary beach chairs was a plus. Housekeeping came by daily. Guests must keep in mind Jamaica's hotel star rating is not equivalent to the U.S. Unless you're planning on spending 100% of your vacation at the hotel, this place is just fine for what it's worth. It's a local hotel, not the Ritz.
