We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. Liked that it was right on the beautiful beach and locally owned and wanted to support. Liked that it was not overcrowded at the time of our stay but wondered how crowded it would be at full capacity during high season. Restaurant staff was friendly, polite and attentive. Food was amazing. Some parts of the property is currently under renovation as it looks dated and needs to be updated and modernized to stay competitive with other hotels in the area as well as to attract new clientele. It seems to attract a more mature clientele and frequent returning longtime guests. Our room was near the front of the hotel which was very noisy by vehicles driving by as it’s right by the main road. Had we known this, we would have selected a room in a quieter area. At 3am, we were awoken by a loud group of people coming back into the hotel. The loud talking and laughing went on for almost an hour. We addressed it with the staff the next morning and found out other guests were woken up and had also complained. I understand they might have little control over the actions of some of the guests. However, they had security on site who should have told the noisy bunch to keep it down. It’s not a big party hotel. The room we stayed in smelled a bit like sewage which they put a very strong air freshener to try and mask the smell. Please fix the drain/sewage issue. I wish this hotel much success with needed improvements. If that’s done I would return.
