Great little hotel; comfy bed and pillows, extremely clean, fabulous shower, great location - close to everything; and the staff most helpful and kind. I’ll definitely stay here again - this trip stayed four nights. The hotel also has a neat garden area with comfortable furniture. AND THE VALUE FOR THE PRICE CAN’T BE BEAT.

A tranquil place to stay while visiting local beaches. There is a busy and vibrant tourist culture in Nerja. This place is in a quiet location, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants and bars.

Misleading
The #7 apartment was in a great location to the beach restaurants and bus station. Lovely roof top terrace. Unfortunately, during our 7 day stay the hot water was minimal. The internet was spotty to say the least. We spoke to management about the issues but no one spoke English and my Spanish is bad so communication was difficult. After many days of no hot water I felt as if I had become the problem and foresaw no remedies. Also it states they help with transportation this is not true. Refused to call us a cab instead pointed to the next block where we had to drag our luggage. Many places to stay here in Nerja, I would not choose Abril Nerja again

Hostal with a difference!
3 night stay in Nerja. Hotel is a short stroll (past great shops) to The Balcon de Europa. Staff were lovely , friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean. Will stay again soon.

Perfect location
The place is in a perfect location. Walking distance to all beaches, restaurants, shops but still peaceful and quite. They have a reception (even if it say in the description that they don't) and the check-in was very smooth. They give you a beach towel and a parasol for the beach which was amazing since the beaches have some kind of volcano black sand and get very hot. I'm overall super happy but would have loved to have a mini fridge to keep a cold drink and a snack in to enjoy on the little balcony. It was easily sorted since there were small supermarkets very close by. My bed was very noisy (I woke up from the noise when I turned at night LOL) and the pillows were very but that is a minor thing and some people prefer hard pillows so I just slept without a pillow.

Great stay in a comfortable, clean and sleek accommodation. Better than some hotels I have stayed. Wifi was decent. Hot water was not a problem. Received warm welcome and help with luggage to my room as there is no elevator. Room was chilly, staff made sure radiator was connected. Balcony is lovely. Good location, so close to the Alsa bus station. 15 min walk to Balcon of Europa. Many restaurants and bars close by. Loved it!

Central City location - this is what we like the best, and helpful stuff. We got a space at the underground garage to park our car for 12 Euro. 10 min walking distance to Balcony de Europa, fruit shop nearby, cafe and restaurants - 5-15 min walk. 20 min walk to the beach. During our check-in hostel lady does not speak English, but is OK, we know Espanol a little.

Good location no elevator
This hostel is located in a nice area. The room is clean and comfortable. The downside it is that it doesn't have an elevator and it's nearly impossible to stop your car in front of the hotel to check in. Other than that it's fine. No breakfast here but there is a place that server breakfast in the plaza across the street.

Great hotel. Very friendly and helpful. Good area very walkable No elevator. Have to carry bags up and if room on higher level can be difficult for seniors. No parking. Can be difficult to find parking.

very good location and good service
The front desk lady is super helpful, she help me print out the flight online ticket and give me information on how to get a bus to Malaga . it's a very clean hostal and the location is very convenient to the bus stands and the beach, we enjoy walking and have a relaxing stay in Hostal Abril.

my wife and I wanted to spend one night in Nerja and I wanted to be near the bus stop to make moving my luggage easy. This hostal served that purpose. it is also an easy walk from the hostel to the Balcony of Europe and the beaches near it. However, the lodging itself is a very basic room where is very little room to move around as the beds occupy most of the floor space. it was clean and served our purpose, but this is not intended to be a luxurious accommodation.

Location is good and easy access to the bus station, however there was a construction going on at next door, so it was super noisy during the day. Room was small and there was no table.

Flawless stay
The hospital was close to everything yet far enough away to be serene. The staff were wonderful and the room all I could ask for, complete with a view of the sea.

We booked this place because of the location but actually got another place! The staff cannot speak English .. The room was clean but noisy so, bring your earplugs there! The bathroom door needs to be repaired.

The location was near the bus station & a good bakery & large supermarket. Abril is modern with pleasing decor, good quality & appealing fixtures & furniture. I liked my double room & it wasn't noisy. The owner was always helpful & pleasant I would defnitely recommend the accommodation.

We didn't know what to expect from Hostel Abril but were pleasantly surprised with this little gem. The staff were more than helpful and it was very clean. Our room was a decent size however the shower needed updating and we had problems connecting to the Wifi. We got the bus from Malaga and it was a very short walk from the bus stop and to the centre of Nerja. An excellent choice for the low cost of the room.

2nd time to stay here if/when we go back to Nerja this will be first choice. perfect for a couple weekend getaway. hotel and rooms always spotless, gorgeous interior, staff extremely friendly.

Ok, for short stay
The hotel was fine although I was put into their "apts" which was just a room fairly small very clean good bathroom and small refrigerator, but the in room safe didn't work, the TV only Spanish, the blinds on the sliding glass door didn't work, but still dark enough at night, and the sheets had perfume or something which made Sleeping difficult for several hrs till it wore off.

A great price in Nerja!
A simple but comfortable budget hotel in Nerja. We had a large downstairs room that opened up to a small garden in the back. With no street noise at all, it would have been a very quiet night if not for our neighbours across the hall. Good location, just a short walk to the waterfront.

Difficult place to get into!
The hostel seemed fine friendly, clean etc but when I arrived at the hostal late at night I couldn't get in through the main door and was therefore unable to sleep there. A hotel is not much use if you can't get into it. The man on the desk had shown me how to use the card key but it wasn't as easy as it looked. Even next day in broad daylight I still couldn't unlock the door. Neither could the friend with me. Sure it's a nice place but wouldn't try to stay there again!

I stay in lots of hotels for my work, as many as 4 a week. The Hostal Abril is fantastic, you can't find better for the price and is spotlessly clean and at long last a hotel with a really comfortable bed! The decor is smart, modern and fresh, and the bathrooms are really well presented. I would take some shower gel with you, they do provide small sachets but I can't do with them! The team who run the hotel and friendly and relaxed, and very helpful. Overall excellent, and I highly recommend it.

Very convenient but quiet location with garden!
great value. Convenient location but quiet area. Close to small plaza with coffee bars and breakfast , buses and shopping. Parking is an issue in Nerja but we managed to snag a spot for our 3 day stay.
