Nice spacious room.. was clean and had lots of room.. My complaint would only be that indid not understand how the night entey worked.. The guy at desk told menthey leave at a certain hour and i would have to use a side entry if coming back past that hour.. I never could find it.. So i made sure i got back to room before they left.. That said i did not get to enjoy as much of the night life i had hoped to.. The property itself tho was very nice

Design landmark - and a great hotel!
Outstanding building, living in a design artwork! Very comfortable room, also convenient parking garage. Breakfast was very good (although the space is quite tiny, so you need to book in advance). Walking distance to most attractions. Highly recommended for Magdeburg!

very loud, tiny room, expensive for what it is. Staff was unwilling to change my room even though I came early. Uncomfortable room altogether. A bathroom so small one could hardly move around.

A really fun surprise to walk up to and into this hotel - especially the bathroom tile work and colors; they really wake you up in the morning as soon as you walk in. Very clean and comfortable. Setting of the hotel within this architectural wonder is a treat. Highly recommend.

Great hotel in Magdeburg
This was amazing, fabulous decor, staff were so helpful got me some lemons and honey for my cold! I would stay again if for a relaxing time rather than having to go to work.

Architectural Gem
Located in an amazing Hunterwasser building, this hotel incorporates his architectural style into its rooms and common areas. Nice big & cheery room, clean and comfortable. Patio area outside room on landscaped deck. Nice breakfast buffet with a good variety of food. Parking is limited, but a large public lot at the nearby Dom is convenient and inexpensive. Limited restaurants and sights in the immediate area, but this is a very nice hotel if you are staying in or passing through Magdeburg.

Centrally located hotel in an unusual design
The hotel is of uncommon shape and design created by Friedenreich Hundertwasser the Austrian architect. The hotel is more conventional inside, except the bathroom which is of steange shape held in royal blue color. The rooms are comfortable. Wifi is reliable and fast. Unfortunately the breakfast room is far too small and cramped. A bit strange was as well when opening the curtain, there is a play yard of a kindergarten just on the level of the window.

What a fun place to stay. So quirky and artsy.
Well cared for building with a rich and old history. Excellent breakfast. Easy to travel by foot from the central train station. Very close to the Dom. I'd stay here again,

Great hotel in central location
The ArtHotel is a lovely and quirky hotel located in the Old Town of Magdeburg. Based in the Green Citadel is has shops/cafes etc. within the complex, but is also on a busy shopping street with several malls and shopping complexes nearby. The central location of the hotel means it is very near to the Cathedral, Monastrary/Art Museum, Town Hall and the many churches, parks and other sights of city are not too far away. I had a single room, which was just the right size for one person. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly at all times. Overall I had an amazing stay here and would definitely stay here again. I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying Magdeburg.

Interesting hotel to stay in . There is no restaurant in the hotel so you have breakfast in your room which is a bit awkward . Arriving by car it is not easy to find reception .

I was greeted by John and he was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful the terrace, the balconies, all wonderful. Each room was adorned and decorated tastefully and artistically, and breakfast was delivered in room! I have only good things to say, and would stay again without hesitation.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel
from check in to check out, we had a lovely stay - complimentaty drinks in the evening, fascinating layout of the hotel and the rooms, comfortsble beds and a superb breakfast, brought to the room on not one but two trolleys. We'd thoroughly recommend the hotel to others. Glad we chose to book a parking space in the hotel car park when we booked, both because the hotel's spaces would otherwise have been full and also because I wouldn't have been entirely comfortable leaving the car, full of luggage, on the street.

Zimmer sind schön riesig. Tolles Bad. Bettrahmen bisserl gewöhnungsbedürftig für uns, ansonsten große Klasse. Topp topp topp Service. Beeindruckend geduldiges Personal. Frühstück: war ok. Mitarbeiterin bieten stets auch frisches Rührei extra nach Wunsch zubereitet an. Das omelett war mir zu fest, käse oder sowas drin. Super Tiefgarage. Bad auch spitze. Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Tresor im Zimmer - mit ec karte bedienbar: super!!

Sehr gut gelegen, man kommt wunderbar zu Fuß in die Altstadt und zum Weihnachtsmarkt und mit den vielen Straßenbahnen überall anders hin. Aufgrund eines fehlenden großen Raums kann keine Empfehlung für das Frühstück ausgesprochen werden, wir haben aber in der Nähe sehr gut frühstücken können! Optisch ist das Gebäude ein absoluter Hingucker, auch die Gestaltung der Zimmer ist sehr schön.

Von außen sieht das Hotel lustig & einladend aus (Hundertwasser Haus), das Personal an der Rezeption und beim Frühstück war freundlich. Spätestens in dem beengten & Kantinenhaften Rezeptions- und Barbereich am Eingang wird einem allerdings klar, dass man keinen übermäßigen "Lifestyle" zu erwarten hat. Theke & Getränkeauswahl ähneln eher einer Kantine, und es ist allgemein sehr beengt. Durch ein unbeheiztes Treppenhaus geht man zum Zimmer hoch, welches in meinem Fall kahl & unwohnlich wirkte. Die Einrichtung hat mich teilweise an eine Jugendherberge erinnert, vielleicht muss das so weil Kunst (?) Am nächsten Morgen war es absurd kalt in Zimmer & Bad (Außentemperatur -3 Grad), da 2 von 3 Heizkörpern scheinbar defekt waren. Ich traf dann noch einen kleinen Freund/Ungeziefer im Bett, ekelhaft. Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt sehr enttäuschend, zumal das Hotel absolut nicht günstiger ist, als andere Hotels gehobener Kategorie. Ich hätte lieber im lokalen Motel One gebucht, das war aber schon voll.
