Nice location. period.

Posted Jan 6, 2017
Pros: location. location. location
Cons: hotel facilities needs upgrade
Location: everything from shopping, dining and transport hub is convenient located nearby the hotel.
Stayed at the Cronwell hotel for 4 days. The hotel staff was friendly but not very helpful in terms of local navigation. The facilities are old and needs an upgrade. The rooms was okay; small and outdated but enough to get a decent sleep for a couple of nights. The best reason to stay in this hotel is its strategic location. You are only 3 mins walk to central station where the metro and public transits are. Most of the shopping and dining areas are walking distance as well. Overall its an ok hotel primarily because of the location but everything else needs still needs improvement.

Good Value : Terrific Staff

Posted Jun 28, 2016
Pros: Great staff. Good breakfasts and Tea. Walkable, but also close to transportation options.
Location: Close to Anichov bridge, canal tours, Faberge Museum. Close to Rubenstein St. For restaurant variety.
The street and entrance are modest, but once in the Hotel is excellent. Breakfasts have a good variety - something for everyone. The 5 PM tea is a nice touch. The rooms are clean, great hot water and pressure,. WhaT really sets the Hotel apart is the staff. All speak excellent English and are friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about Natalya, Elmira, Julia, et al. You can walk most everywhere, but there is great access to Metro and a ton of buses on Nevsky. Highly recommend.

short stay in Saint Petersburg

Posted Mar 15, 2016 on Hotels
This hotel is around 5 mins walk from the Nevsky avenue, where all shops/malls as well as sightseeing parts are found. Best way to discover the area is by walking though you may take the metro (the station is approx five mins from the hotel). So the hotel is generally well located for signtseeing and the breakfast offered is quite good. It should be noted that you are provided with a kettle but no tea or coffee (bring your own or buy), and you are provided with 0.5 L water bottle only on day one. Generally food is cheaper in St petersburg compared to european countries. And whole area is quite safe..and shopping malls open till 11 pm in most cases.
