Location: Very centrally located.
A great hotel, with old world charm located very centrally in St. Petersburg. Generaly, very few Russians speak english but almost all the hotel staff did and were very helpful. The hotel was the former Hotel Europa and has some character. It is very elegant and old wordly.

The hotel is one of the best in the city. It is like "old school", the have great restaurants, our room size was more than confortable, and a very nice lobby bar open 24 hours, where they play live music.

The very best!

Definitely earns five stars rating in every way. We did not need a big buffet breakfast but enjoyed outstanding meals at all of their restaurants and cafes. Concierges very helpful. You really can walk to major sites and the neighborhood is lively in a very nice way.

Central and spoiling

Pros: Very efficient service and great breakfasts
Cons: Beds - see above
wonderful luxury hotel - only the beds were hard - so do ask for softer ones! The hard ones were their new ones they said so perhaps make sure they still have some less hard!

Old European luxury

This is truly luxurious hotel with a lot of history. Walking distance from Hermitage. Service was impeccable. Concierge Maria was just amazing guiding us to different places. Room was huge and so classy. I felt like I was a princess. I think this is one of my favorite hotels. Must say for sure!

This historic hotel puts other "five star" hotels to shame. We felt like royalty. If you are able to splurge on a historic suite, by all means do so!
