The only problem was with the door to the room , it was very hard to open.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, in the high heat we've been experiencing lately, some of the doors do warp a little making it a bit more difficult to open. They're still secure. They just require a bit more muscle to open. Thank you for staying with us.

The room was very small for a double room. The door wouldn't shut properly and the carpet was filthy. Had not been cleaned in not sure how long. Not impressed and not used to staying at a hotel for this price that doesn't offer quality for the price.

Ok not great

I booked through hotel.com and it said pay at checkin but it took it out before I even checked in I was not happy at all about this

We apologize for the misunderstanding but we do pre-authorize all arrivals prior to check in. We do this to guarantee your reservation which means we won't cancel the reservation and sell the room out from underneath you. I know on the website it is a bit misleading when it says "pay nothing now" but it also states when you look at the payment options taken by the hotel that the property reserves the right to put a hold on the card prior to arrival. It is a bit confusing from a guest's standpoint, I agree. We hope this clears up any confusion for you. We always suggest guests confirm their reservation details directly with the property. Poor Front Desk Assistant

Mapquest shows a Best Western on BOTH sides of the highway? Arriving in the dark, was told by the front desk it was across the street from the local High School. Drove around lost only to discover it was across the "Highway" Not across the "Street" with a rather small sign.

Unidentifiable wet spots and stains

There was several wet spots and stains on the outer covers. Also we went to the hot tub and the water did not cover the jets. When I reported the dirty bedding I was told I would have to change then bed linens my self as she could not leave the front desk. When I reported this at check out I was told they could not refund because I prepaid thru Expedia. They did give me a $50 gift card. Big deal. I wanted a new room, but was told again they could not make any changes to rooms reserved thru Expedia. Never staying there again.

Great if you like bugs and dirty feet

Found 5 bugs, and a scorpion. Our feet turned black from walking on the carpet in the room. Horrible stay. We couldn't sleep because of fear of a water roach crawling on us, since we kept finding them. Manager gave a $20 discount for 3 of 4 nights, but I don't feel like that was enough. Room wasn't clean and they only cleaned 1/2 the room one night. We will never stay at a Best Western again!

My apologies to you and your family. We pride ourselves on being extremely clean as all of our rooms are thoroughly checked before we rent any room. In addition, we regularly treat our rooms and property with pest control services. Because of the high volume of rain recently (nothing to do with your room being near the pool area), this area is seeing an increase in bugs coming indoors to escape the heat and the wetness of the outdoors. We did try our best to make sure you were taken care of during your stay and even gave you a discount on your rates as you mentioned. As for your room being half finished, it is because our housekeeping staff is instructed not to touch guest belongings that are left behind on beds, etc... And during your stay, one day was particularly busy with shorthanded staffing issues which is why they didn't come until 5:30 to take care of your sister's room. Unfortunately, this does happen on occasion. We also do not have someone with housekeeping 24/7 which is why there was no one available to make the bed. Again, you were discounted for that inconvenience. We thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We use all feedback we receive to make improvements to our operations.
