Pipes had burst causing water to pour out of the elevator. Elevators were not operational, high pitched alarm was persistent, both as you walk into the hotel and around any elevators. Had to haul luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs to get to the room, as the elevator was down the entire visit. During breakfast, there were ants crawling on the table. The staff was helpful and friendly, and breakfast was tasty. Bed was firm and uncomfortable, pillows were thin and provided no support. The TV only had basic cable, basically over the air TV. As much as I like Rosanne reruns, I was very disappointed that it was all I had to watch for 4 days. I was shocked that this was a Hilton property and I won't be booking with a Hampton inn and suites again.

I am very sorry for your experience at the Hampton, and you are absolutely right, we had a pipe burst and the alarms were going off until the Alarm company and Fire Department could investigate and silence. The pipe broke in the Elevator shaft and put both elevators out of service. I am very sorry this happened and would be happy to discuss this with you in more detail. Please contact the Hotel and ask for the GM.

Turn off The Alarms
The alarms going off, i understand was not the fault of the hotel, was annoying, and lasted over 35 minutes. Lack of elevator use was an inconvenience. I was on the 4th floor, and that was a climb.

I apologize for the alarms and the elevator, during the horrific weather we experienced we had a pipe freeze in the elevator shaft that burst putting both elevators out of service. I would be happy to discuss this with you. Please contact the hotel and ask for the GM

I have been to a lot of Hampton in and this is by far the worst one i ever been to. First the employees walk around like you contagious and always looking suspicious like they want to do something. I didn’t feel comfortable living my stuff in the room when I left. No type of hospitality at all didn’t even see if we need towels or anything and the phone didn’t work at all in the room. Didn’t feel welcomed at all and honesty I wish I could get my money back that how horrible it was as. Didn’t feel like home at all and I came all the way from Maryland

Room did not stay cool and room backed up to a UPS center. Vehicles were backing up all night long, with the accompanying beeping that could be heard on the 4th floor.

From the time I walked in the hotel to leaving customer service was very professional. Handicap Accessible room was not a fully handicapped room. Only one bar in the shower and no shower wand. Requested a chair for the shower and it was brought in the room. Roommate is a triple amputee.

If I am ever in San Marcos again, I would stay at Hampton Inn again. I recommend the place because of its pleasant clean lobby. My room was well kept. The staff were also courteous.

Great hotel! Staff was friendly. Room was clean and had plenty of USB outlets. The breakfast was good too. There was road construction around the property entrance so it was a little difficult to get too.
