Offering a prime location only 400 feet from the shores of Lake Michigan, this picture-perfect, five-bedroom home will bring ease, charm, and comfort to your next Michiana getaway. Built in 1929, the Gingerbread House is a wonderful place to spend mornings sipping coffee on the screened-in porch, listening to the sounds of the rustling evergreens, or to kick back by the fireplace with the family scattered around the living room.

Each room is decorated with personalized touches, from the naturally lit dining room with seating for eight to the kitchen and attached patio for al fresco meals. Enjoy central air conditioning throughout, a private washer/dryer to take care of your wet swimsuits each afternoon, and an extensive music collection and stereo system in the study to provide your favorite vacation soundtrack. The first floor has two bedrooms - one with a queen-size bed and one with a double bed - and a laundry chute to the basement rec room. Upstairs, you'll find an entertainment room that's well-equipped for game nights and movie nights and three more bedrooms - offering one twin bed, a pair of twin beds, and a double bed, respectively - with views of the expansive yard and firepit.

When you're not lounging on the lake beach or grilling with love ones, you'll find endless sources of entertainment on the Michigan-Indiana border. Head north to New Buffalo or south to Michigan City for a memorable night out in either town's historic downtown district.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
