Nice hotel, close to downtown, Yale and restaurant

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: Close to everything. Comfy bed and pillows. Clean, friendly staff
Location: The two big Yale museums nearby along with many restaurants
Very comfortable hotel. Easy parking, safe area, many restaurants nearby within walking distance. Close to museums. Room large with comfortable bed and comfy pillows. We may come back just for a good nights sleep!

Decent

Posted Jan 24, 2017
The hotel is nice. Not fancy. The staff is veri nice. The amenities are decent. Not fancy. Clean. It's right on the edge of 2 neighborhoods- Yale and one that's very rough. Walk towards Yale and it's fine. Walk the other way not so ok. The restaurant is a low spot. Not really a restaurant so much as prepared institutional food. However there's a Popeye's across the street. Not much else. The hotel is decent but far overpriced for what and where it is. It was comfortable though.

Friendly staff, convenient location. On the night I stayed, they offered complementary hot chocolate in the lobby which was a nice perk. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only downside was that my view was of Popeyes and that the curtains weren't thick enough to block off the street light, but it wasn't a huge deal.

Comfortable hotel close to Yale

Posted Dec 22, 2016
Cons: As I said, the hotel really smelled like fried chicken from the Popeyes across the street, which is a bit gross.
I had a comfortable stay at the courtyard during a one week business trip back to Yale. PROS: - Location: only a couple of blocks away from cross-campus, a quick walk away from many shops, restaurants, activities, convenient for meeting on science hill - Room: large and cosy, plenty of desk space, clean, modern, high quality fixtures - Staff: extremely polite and accommodating CONS: - Smell: the hotel is located across the street from a Popeyes, so the entire building smelled like fried chicken at all hours of the day. That's unfortunate, but really unacceptable.

Close to Yale

Convenient to Yale, but needs attention to maintenance--e.g., clogged drain, dysfunctional faucet.
