Walking distance to everything

Posted May 19, 2017
Wonderful associates. Very friendly and helpful. Hotel was full of charm and history, but bathroom needed some work (tiles coming up on floor). Very happy with stay...loved coffee each morning in courtyard.

Great old historic building

Posted May 4, 2017
Beautiful old historic building with high high ceilings in room 204 and sitting area. Not just a regular hotel room with a bathroom. Coffee juice and croissants at your morning specified time was a great start to the day. Loved my first time in NOLA.

Disappointing reception and room.

Posted Apr 28, 2017
Pros: Walking distance to all the activities in the city. After we complained, manager was very accommodating and helpful!
Cons: For the price this facility charges, reception should be top notch when customer walks in. More electrical outlets.
Location: Royal Carriages, Creole Queen Riverboat Dinner Cruise, Jackson Square, BB King's Pub & Food, & Trolley ride.
First, we reserved this hotel for the ambiance of the French Quarter. I was told by hotel rep. that when I dropped my car off at the airport, the hotel rep told me they had someone who would pick us up. We arrived and called the hotel. The rep. for the hotel (a young woman) proceeded to tell me that we needed to take a taxi. I called back and she told me she took care of our request. Arrived at hotel, we had to pay the taxi driver $60.00 (4 x $15)! Rep. never told us that there was going to be a fee! An Uber would of been cheaper! Check-in! The rep. was distant and not welcoming! She assigned us to a room upstairs! Narrow stairs! No one on staff helped us get our bags to the room! We are in our 60's! Opened the door to our room!! OMG! The door hit the bed! We couldn't get into the room without closing door, first! There were 4 of us with 5 pieces of luggage! 2 beds in a very small room! Very small bathroom! Not enough electrical outlets for our electronics! This room was dirty! After making a complaint, the hotel manager moved us to a much larger room the next morning, downstairs! We were told this room was available when we checked in, but the representative never gave us this option! Larger room had big bathroom! But, not enough outlets for electronics! For the price we paid for this hotel, I expected much better service and attitudes! A positive note -The maid that took care of our 2nd room was kind, helpful & professional!

Great get-away hotel

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: Great location for access to just about anything in the Quarter
Cons: Allow the air conditioners to go below 68 degrees, especially on hot days
Location: Many attractions close by as well as resturants with in walking distance.
Staff was awesome and very friendly. Rooms were comfortable. Far enough from Bourban to be quiet. Courtyard was very relaxing

Historic hotel

Posted Apr 4, 2017
Pros: Friendly and courteous staff.
Cons: Room and bathroom cleanliness.
Location: French Quarter New Orleans needs no explanation. Site seeing tours, steamboat ride, famous cemeteries, churches, restaurants and cafes nearby.
Historic hotel in New Orleans French Quarter. Fantastic that it was within walking distance of many historical sites, great restaurants and cafes. Front desk personnel and other staff always pleasant. Lobby always provided hot coffee and ice water. Cannot comment on breakfast as did not eat there. Room and particularly bathroom could have been cleaner. Linens not changed daily. Clean towels provided on daily basis but had missing components; no hand towels sometimes or no face cloths provided.

Small beds and unfriendly staff

Posted Mar 20, 2017
The location is amazing but that's about it that this hotel is worth staying at. The beds are described as queens but calling them that would be generous. The staff was icy and the rooms itty bitty. Not worth the price you pay.

Hotel with character

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Great hotel to explore New Orleans in a great location of the French quarter. Hotel staff were very friendly. Housekeeping was good and bed very comfortable and big. Whilst en suite was basic and there was limited dining and social area, we were not in NO to stay in the hotel so it was absolutely perfect for us. The restaurants and cafes in NO are so good you will find great food for all meal times. The character and history, including the ghost, are what you should want when staying in a city with such history with many stories to tell.

Not a good stay for the price.

Posted Feb 22, 2017 on Hotels
The sheets were stained and the tv didn't work. You couldn't open the entry door to the room all the way because it hit a bed. They wouldn't give us our car till we left for home, but charged us $40 a night for parking. The location was great, but the room was super small for the price.

Valentine's in the Big Easy

Posted Feb 20, 2017 on Orbitz
Hotel is nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and rooms are easy to access. Breakfast is kind of a joke. It's literally one croissant, juice, coffee, or hot chocolate. The room I stayed in only had hot water in the bathroom sink. It is located very close to all the French Quarter attractions. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Would stay here again.
