Right in the middle of things!

Posted Dec 6, 2016
Pros: The hotel staff was exceptional. The in-hotel restaurant was very good. The decor was beautiful.
The Hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was beautiful, but unfortunately there were ants and the water did not remain hot for our showers although when told the front desk staff said that they would take care of the problems immediately. Parking in the New Orleans French Quarter is always a problem, but it was even a bigger problem for this hotel. We had to wait 45 minutes to have our car retrieved. There was a Saints football game and the hotel was completely full so I am sure that added to the problem.

Very nice lobby, but not so great experience

Posted Dec 5, 2016
It started out with us getting assigned to a room that was already occupied. We open the hotel room only to view a man on his bed in his underwear, not only was the poor man embarrassed so was I and my husband. When we went to the front desk to let them know of this issue we were just given another room number and a quick apology, was hoping for a free breakfast or upgraded room would have been nice gesture for their error. Then we get to a clean vacant room to find out that the bathroom sink was clogged up and seems a bit outdated. Maintenance came up to fix it but it ended up being only a quick fix that didn't last long, sink clogged up again the next day. Lastly on the morning of check out we called the bell hop to pick up our luggage so we can go have breakfast before leaving the hotel. Once we returned to the hotel it was packed with people inside due to the rain outside and our luggage was no longer on a carrier they put it on the floor for us to hold on to until our car was retrieved from valet which took over half an hour, talk about a headache. We load up the car and drive home for 6 hours and realize that we are missing a bag. The hotel did not give us all of our luggage back, it never made it out of their holding area. I know it was a busy morning at check out time I just wished the hotel staff would have made sure all of our luggage was accounted for when they returned it to us. Now it is being shipped back to us and I can only hope there is nothing missing

Very disappointing stay.

Posted Dec 5, 2016
Woke up on Saturday morning at 7am to the overwhelmingly loud sound of construction directly beneath our floor. Called the desk to complain and was treated rudely. Turns out they were doing work in the lobby and allowed it to start at 7am with no regards to thier guests. Then when we were leaving it was a 40 minute wait to have our car brought around. I will never return to this very disappointing hotel.

Disappointed

Posted Dec 5, 2016
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Location: Close to Bourbon Street
Upon arrival, Cha Cha at the front desk was extremely rude. Got to our room, which was ok. There was hair in the tub. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. That was the hardest mattress ever. The walls were thin so we could hear the couple next to us arguing for hours. Finally security was called about 2:00 am and they finally stopped. The vallet situation has much to be desired. A 45 minute wait to get our car. We have stayed hear in the past and I don't remember these issues. Maybe the part of the hotel we were in, but I think I will stay somewhere else on my next trip to New Orleans.

Nice hotel, but check-in experience was awful

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Location: On the corner of Bourbon and Canal
Found out at 2 PM that check-in starts at 4, no precheck or other accommodations. "Check-in at 4 PM" means a line starts forming in the lobby about 3:30. When I got there at 3:45, I had a check-in wait of almost an hour. For this price-point, I find an hour wait for check-in unacceptable.

Will never stay there again

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Pros: Rate was affordable with access to several good restaurants
Cons: Safe was broken, money was stolen from our room and security did nothing about it. Flushing system was broken. Hotel needs serious maintenance
While the location is very good, our stay there was very unpleasant. When we checked in, we noticed that the safe in our room wasn't working and reported it but they couldn't fix it. We went out and came back to find that some money was stolen from my bag. We reported it but never heard back or got updates. The hotel restaurant is a rip off, and within a few hours after we left, a shooting happened that left one dead and 9 injured. Very rough neighborhood. They tried to charge us for parking even though we didn't have a car!!!!!
