I traveled with my two teenagers there for March break. The hotel is good value for the money. It's located at the edge of French Quarter, so that whole area and adjoining Marigny (a must-visit for typical creole and shotgun houses) are within walking distances. Another plus was the included breakfast with plenty of choices (hot food, cereal, yogurt, waffles, fruits, coffee etc.). Clean nice interior courtyard with a small pool. Housekeeping did their job.
On the downside: when we arrived late at night (around 9:30 pm) the receptionist told us they cannot accommodate our car in their garage (for which you must pay extra!), and directed us to a small gas station two blocks down the road where we could leave our car in their open parking lot so they would "keep an eye on it" during the night for $35! I thought that was quite sketchy but I didn't want to risk leaving the car in the street (not really a safe area) so I paid. The next day, they gave us a parking spot in the garage at the hotel. Also, I forgot my phone charger in the room upon check out, went back after our tour to retrieve it and they claimed they haven't found any charger.
