Beautiful authentic hotel, great location

We had a lovely stay with the Best Western Plus. Our room opened into a pretty courtyard with a pool, and the decoration felt authentic to New Orleans (though a little dark). The staff were very kind. The location was great, within safe walking distance of the French Quarter and opposite a nice path. Breakfast provided but could be improved, as not much fruit or options on offer.

Excellent location hotel

The hotel is in the best location. You are in the edge of the French Quarter. Therefore you are away from all the noise but take 5 steps and you're in the Quarter. Within walking distance of everything. Hotel was clean but needs updated. Rooms are very dark with the brown painted walls. Breakfast was excellent. This is a bonus because most hotels in the Quarter do not have complementary breakfast

Excellent with a caveat

Pros: Trustworthy Best Western. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great breakfast, nice amenities and great location. Lovely hotel.
Cons: Our only issue was street noise. Perhaps new double pane windows would remedy and buffer the street noise. Definitely need ear plugs.
Location: Great location. Walk right into the FQ to enjoy all the festivities. And walk out to the edge to return to a quieter location for relaxing.
We chose a Best Western because of its reputation, included breakfast, and great location. We were very pleased with our selection. We stayed one week, and during that time the staff were all so nice, friendly and accommodating. The a/c worked beautifully in our room until the day before we were leaving (a pump issue). We were promptly given another very nice room with no fuss or issue. The location is excellent for venturing into the FQ, while allowing you to return to a slightly quieter area when you were done for the day. The only issue we experienced was the noise on N Ramparte street. Ear plugs are a must! The windows are thin and every street noise could be plainly heard. You would have a difficult time sleeping without ear plugs. With ear plugs however, all was well. Plus ear plugs helped muffle the sound of slamming doors as others came and left there rooms in the same hallway. Tough to avoid that anywhere. The hotel overall was quite charming with an inner courtyard, plenty of chairs, and a terrific breakfast to get you on your way. Would definitely stay there again.

Pros: Staff, Breakfast, clean room
Cons: Air conditioner was a bit noisy, 4pm check in wasn't ready until 4:30ish... too late.
Location: Liked the location
Nice location not being too close to the loud hustle and bustle. Staff was awesome.

Pros: The breakfast was part of the deal and it was a complete breakfast with worm food (eggs, waffles, oatmeal, etc.) The room was spacious and quite. Grea
Cons: The last full stay our beds were not done very well and even though we should have had coffee in the room, for 2 days they didn't leave any.
Location: Tons of things to do. It is in from of the Louis Amstrong part. A couple of blocks from Bourbon Street where the night life happens.
It was a very good experience. It is a great hotel with outdoor pool and rooms are quite.

Close to French Quarter

Pros: One night they had fresh baked cookies and a relaxing pool area
Cons: The lights in the rooms are Too Dim Couldn't read
Location: There is maybe 4 restaurants on the block, high end, the other nothing sounded good, a cafe,and a hot dog place.. Make sure you eat before you turn
There was three of us, they left 2 face towels.. there is no microwave in the rooms.. lights in the room are too dim

Conveniently located

Close to everything in the French quarter. Accommodating, friendly staff. Nice pool, across the street from Louis Armstrong Park, a must-see.

Nice hotel on the edge of the French Quarter

This was a great location​ and easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk into the French Quarter. The only thing we didn't like was how noisy the AC was in the room and there weren't many restaurants nearby when we wanted to stay in for the evening. It was a nice hotel to stay with kids.
