Nice Hotel

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: the pool was small. that's just trying to find something to improved.
Location: a number of restaurants, a gas station, BASKIN ROBBINS across the street!!
I have to admit, for the price, we were a little leery of booking it. We only needed it for a few hours, so we said, how bad could it be. But when we checked in, which only took about 10 minutes and someone was in front of me (Thank you Toni), and got into the room, we were shocked how big, clean, and comfortable it was. The location was great being less than a mile from the interstate and a couple of eateries within walking distance. We would definitely stay there again.!!!

Nice, good value, decent breakfast

Posted Jul 19, 2015
It was not bad. Decent breakfast. The room was comfortable enough and brought extra linen on request. Understaffed for sure, hallway smells terribly but rooms don't.

Family friendly and close to shopping and dining.

Posted Jun 7, 2015
I chose to stay in Slidell because I was traveling with my teenaged son and did not think that New Orleans would be right for the kind of trip we were making. We had our own vehicle, were staying three nights, and were doing our sightseeing during the day. The 30 minute drive back and forth was worth it to me to have a safe and quiet place to stay at night and eat breakfast in the morning. Slidell has every convenience of our home town, and the people are lovely.

Poor Customer Service

Rather than going on a long rant let's just say I will not be staying at any Best Western in the future.

Would recommend booking elsewhere.....

Posted May 24, 2015
My biggest issue with the room was that it smelled strongly of mildew. I could never have slept there at all if I hadn't been so tried when I arrived. The acommodation was not as good as other Best Westerns I have stayed in or similar brands. Also, the breakfast was strangely limited and unhealthy considering their advertisement of full breakfast. There was no wheat bread of any type, almost no fruit and only a few yogurt cups. Usually there is at least a few choices for people who want to avoid waffle mix and pastries.

Close to the highway.

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: The door on the rear of the building didn't work very well. It took quite a few swipes to get it to open.
Location: Location was great! Close to the highway and the restaurant Copeland's was not far and their food was great!
It was a very nice stay. With it being close to the highway, getting from point A to point B was a snap. The room was very nice, big for the my husband and I. Toni, who worked the desk at night was so sweet and accomidating!! She deserves a HUGE raise. Everyone there was wonderful. Yes, we will stay there again!

Dirty and poorly maintained.

Posted May 16, 2015
Pros: The Front Desk staff were friendly.
Cons: Spend some time and money on cleaning the rooms.
Location: There are several shopping and dining establishments in close proximity to the hotel.
The room was dirty, from numerous bugs dead on the window sill and air conditioning unit, to the carpet which was in desperate need of shampooing. The parking lot is extremely small and difficult to maneuver. The housekeeping didn't seem to show much initiative as we had to request that our room servicing be completed. We weren't the only guests who had issues waiting on a room as we overheard one guest checking in after 4:00 p.m., with his room still uncleaned.
