Pros: Location
Cons: Security/access could be tighter. Perhaps room key to access elevator.
Location: Shop for a home.
The common areas needed cleaning. Elevators were not cleaned the 4 days we were there.

Nice hotel, reasonable rates, accommodating

Pros: The friendliness of Staff.
Cons: Free Wifi could have been stronger. Kept cutting out on us. Stronger Starbucks.
Location: Malls, seafood restaurants (locals use), lakefront. Near suburban parade routes, if coming for Mardi Gras. Close to interstate to get to Fr Quarter.
I am a native expat and had to return for family matters. If you would like a hotel that is nice and away from the hubbub of the French Quarter, this is a good suggestion. It's close to local seafood restaurants, mall, other shopping. But also a few minutes away from the Quarter. The Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean, beds comfortable. WiFi was adequate. Food in the cafe was good, except Starbucks seemed a bit weak. Once I returned home, I noted a charge that should not have been on credit card. I called the hotel and they were apologetic, immediately looked into the matter and removed it. I definitely recommend staying here.

Cancelled our reservation for other higher payers

Cons: Fire the manager.
We arrived at the hotel at 7:30pm with reservations for two rooms. Some one named Marsha had cancelled on of my rooms. I asked for another room. After 15 minutes of waiting, and the girl at the desk speaking on a walkie talkie, I realized that my other room wasn't even ready. I was told it would be at least 20 minutes before my room was ready. I said that was not ok since I could have checked in around 3 and my room should have been ready then. However, I then said what about my other room? I need two rooms. She called the person back on the walkie talkie and the man said he could have another room in an hour or so, but was very unclear. So, I asked to speak to the manager. She picked up the walkie talkie again and told him I needed to speak to him. He did not respond for over 10 minutes. She was very nice and very apologetic, but it was not her causing the problem. Finally, he called down to the front desk to speak to me - wouldn't even come see me in person - to tell me they were sold out and didn't have my rooms available. I had booked online with expedia and had a fairly good rate. There were walk ins behind me that got rooms!!!! They were paying almost double what I had booked my rooms for. NEVER have I ever been treated as poorly or so disappointed in a Marriott hotel.

Nice and quiet hotel outside of the French Quarter

The clean and refreshing smell when you walk in the lobby is like walking in a spa then greeted with a very friendly receptionist Raquel. The lobby has nice and new furnitures. The hotel room is big. The bed linens are clean, white and tightly tucked. The bed feels new and the firmness is just perfect. Floor is well vacuumed and the room is well dusted. Bathroom is clean. This hotel is a good place for retreat. This hotel is well kept. Location is accessible. Parking is peaceful and quiet.

Pleasant, comfortable and clean hotel near airport

Room and lobby appeared to be recently renovated. Clean and nicely decorated. Could tell what fixtures hadn't been replaced (i.e. Tub and faucet) but they didn't impact the functionality or comfort of the room. We found New Orleans to be quite overwhelming and intimidating, this hotel felt like a nice, quiet and safe sanctuary. Its proximity to the airport was nice. Also plenty of food options and a large mall very near by. Was nice to have somewhere not far out of the way to hang out after check out before catching our flight.

the hotel room was excellent. larger than expected. beds very comfortable. was exactly what i expected from a courtyard marriott hotel.
