Nice hotel close to the airportPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: The location of the hotel was great. We were about 10 miles from the French Quarter and less than 2 miles from the airport.
Cons: The housekeeping staff should be more attentive
Location: The hotel is centrally located and only a few blocks away from the freeway, mall, restaurants and other chain stores.
Overall we had a good stay however I was disappointed with the following: 1. I am a Gold member and I booked 2 rooms for family. We were promised that both rooms would have a refrigerate and a microwave. Well only 1 room had a microwave/refrigerator. 2. One of the rooms was handicapped accessible yet the maid didn't clean the bathroom. Considering that my brother was in a wheelchair and therefore the bathroom floor would have tire marks. She didn't mop the bathroom or clean the shower. Needless to say we had to clean the bathroom.

I usually have a very pleasant stay at Fairfield Inns, which is why I booked here. Do not stay here. The room smelled like something died in there so I asked to switch rooms. That one smelled just as bad. I had to go buy Febreeze just to get through the night. I overheard other guests complaining about the awful smell in their rooms as well. This hotel is in a sketchy part of town so don't count on walking anywhere. The lady who drove the shuttle was very nice, she took me to the mall so I could go to the Target and get some food. I also found a huge spider crawling over my bed. Staff was very nice and as accommodating as they could be given what they were working with. This location needs some help.

Will not recommend .Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: not much
Cons: staff , pool ,
Location: not to much around this hotel
The Pool was half full of green slime !! when I asked the about it they did not even give a sorry abut the inconvenience , Noisy , on our check out morning I called front desk to request a cab he said it would be there in 15 minutes , we went out to get cab but he gave it to someone else. so we asked for another cab and it took 40 minutes for it to come because we found out he had a deal with this cab outfit . while we were waiting another couple needed a cab and the front desk person said he called for them as well and we could ride together to the cruise terminal . The cab came and it was a small Toyota Corolla - are you kidding me ! 4 adults 6 large bags - our carry-ons on our laps stuffed like sardines and my I-pad screen broken from stuffing baggage in , and then 65 bucks for the ride ! what a joke . before we left I told the desk guy about the issue but he did not seem to care . DONT GO HERE .

Construction ProjectPosted May 8, 2015
Pros: not much!
Cons: Be upfront on your website.
Location: Drive away quickly!!
Not your fault a tornado knocked out power. I should have been told the place was torn apart. I would not have stayed there with power. Total mess and construction smells. I was given the number of a Fairfield Residence Inn that had it's own issues and cost a lot more. In a strange city I had little choice but to stay there. I learned never to use Expedia or to stay at any motel connected with Fairfield

Not so comfy stay ...Posted May 5, 2015 on Hotels
Where to start, the curb appeal was great but the entrance was horrible! No automatic door, construction underway everywhere!Onle one small elevator in the lobby and the stairs were all the way at the opposite end of the hotel. Once we get to the room, it was clean but the mattress and bedding were something that I would never lay on again!

Not a good choicePosted Apr 27, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel is under construction. There was a lot of noise. The room was missing basic conveniences. Staff was not helpful. Breakfast was good.
