Excellent front-desk staff; clean, modern hotel

Arrived too early for check-in but front desk staff facilitated efficient pre-check-in and called as soon as room was ready. When I commented that the balconies overlooking Bourbon St seemed to provide a good view of the action they upgraded my room, at no charge, to have a balcony - which seemingly most of the rooms do not. This provided endless entertainment. It was noisy all night long, but the hotel provides ear plugs and you should not seek a balcony room if you are not prepared for the noise. Cannot comment on hotel food because we used Open Table to book great meals throughout trip. Overall, was very happy with the Sheraton Four Points. Waited too long to make the reservation and settled for Four Points when the Westin, Omni, and other choices were unavailable. But worked-out great, with the Four Points being right in the middle of the French Quarter action, which was the purpose of this particular trip. Certainly would not recommend, due to the location, for any kind of business trip or culinary/cultural outing.
