Great hotel

Posted Apr 23, 2017
Pros: Quiet and close to restaurants.
Cons: Carpeted areas are beginning to smell a little ripe.
Location: Restaurants and the Garden district near by.
Great hotel not so close to the French Quarter but close to the Garden District with a decent pool.

Great hotel right by magazine street!

Posted Apr 1, 2017
We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton inn on st. Charles. The hotel was clean, staff was kind, and breakfast was great! The location of the hotel allows you to walk to the garden district and take a trolley to the French quarter. We would definitely stay here again!

Garden District and Magazine street

Posted Mar 20, 2017
Pros: Loved the neighborhood feel
Cons: Small rooms that need to be updated
Location: Street car, magazine street, local restaurants and not far from the Quarter.
Perfect for families that want to avoid the French Quarter chaos and experience the beautiful garden district area, street car, places to eat, magazine street and an easy Uber ride to the Quarter

Immaculate hotel with a beautiful atmosphere.

Posted Feb 27, 2017
Pros: Everything the ongoing coffe tea cart was very helpful with my allergies.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Trolley at your door and nice treed neighbourhood. Unfortunately we did not get to tour as I was ill.
My husband and I had a wonderful overnight stay in a beautiful upscale hotel with an atmosphere of beauty comfort and class . The reception upon arrival was so nice a few appies and plenty of drink choices. Our room was spacious with fine furniture and a bubble bathtub. The morning breakfast was also perfect with lots of choices. Location was excellent trolley stopped out front and our car was parked in a safe area. The management was kind and caring and allowed us to check out a day early with a refund to our Expedia account due to the fact that I was not feeling well after an allergy attack of early onset weather conditions. We certainly will always look to Hampton inn as our first choice in overnight accomadations.

Terrific stay in the heart of the Garden District.

Posted Feb 18, 2017
Pros: Location, breakfast, cold water all day, fruit and cheese in the evening, spacious lobby
Cons: Cleanliness around pool area and in the pool
Location: The St. Charles street car made travel to most parts of New Orleans easy, pleasant and very reasonable.
August (very warm) visit to Tulane was made more pleasant by the wonderful staff here. Not only were they professional but very helpful on all fronts. When an unexpected illness forced us to stay another night, they were very accommodating and helped to make a stressful situation better.

The carpet was peeling off the floor and the bathroom was dated. We walked in and walked out to satay at a different hotel.

The hotel is in the Garden District on Saint Charles Street right in front of the cable cars. The area felt safe, beautiful neighborhood, not very touristy and restaurants and bars very close by. New Orleans is notorious for charging what I think is huge daily parking fees, this hotel charged on of the cheapest daily rates and it was self park so you don't have to tip a valet, but a tax is added to the parking as well. If you want to visit New Orleans, but have been to the French Quarter and want something different, this it it.

We always love to stay at this hotel when in the city. The rooms are always comfy, staff very friendly, the area is fantastic, and the rooms are always cold. The breakfast is always fresh and tasty every morning. We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone!

Nice hotel, a little far from downtown but great. The breakfast is not really good but there some good restaurants near it
