Great hotel

Pros: Room service breakfast was fast and delicious! If you play in the casino for 30 minutes or more each day your $30 self-parking fee is free!
Cons: Somewhere to purchase snacks in the hotel, not through room service.
My sister and I were visiting my son who is going to college in New Orleans. We love to play the slot machines so staying in this hotel was perfect. My sister has back problems and absolutely loved the beds, said they were more comfortable than what she has at home. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. Hotel was expensive but most in the area are. Would definitely stay there again.

No hot water and room smelled of stale cigarettes

Pros: Large room, comfortable bed
Cons: Fix the hot water issue and try to improve the room's smell
Location: Good location in New Orleans. Easy access to conference center and French Quarter
Disappointing. I could not get a hot shower. Running the water for more than 10 minutes only gave slightly warm water. Also, the room initially reeked of bathroom cleaner, which gave way to the scent of stale cigarettes.

Great Hotel between Convention & French Quarter

Pros: Location and Comfort.
Cons: Better decor in the rooms.
I thought this hotel was very clean and comfortable. It had a great location, walking distance to the convention center and and the French Quarter. There are a lot of great restaurants within short walking distance and of course the casino is just across the street. As far as the room, I really enjoyed the soaking tub and separate shower. No complaints about the room or service.

Great location

Location: The Palace restaurant and Black Duck bar nearby on Canal St were wonderful. Really enjoyed walking up and down Royal and Orleans streets.
We interacted with a couple of the ladies at the front desk/guest services who were outstanding in their friendly manner. Our bellhop was very nice too, but we didn't feel comfortable with the out-of-uniform gentleman following him around and even into our room. The bellhop should not have allowed this. If the gentleman is in training with Harrah's then he needs a uniform and name badge so we can see that he has been vetted by the hotel. It turned out to be harmless though so don't necessarily let this one-off experience keep you from choosing this hotel. We were only there for a short stay so didn't try out the hotel dining or casino or anything. We found the location to be great as we were able to walk to places of interest on Canal, Chartres, Decatur, Royal, and Orleans Streets, among others. We found our room with two queens to be very spacious and clean. The amenities were no big whoop but they were present so no issues there. We called down for one set of extra towels and toiletries and housekeeping was very prompt in brining us about ten extra towels and a roll of toilet paper. We appreciated the effort and had a giggle. Overall I can't fault this hotel, we had a great time.

Not a happy camper

The shower went from ok to ice cold to burning hot. The tv was very dark the day we left. The air freshener spray was too much.

Poor housekeeping

A great hotel. My only complaint was housekeeping. Used glasses and coffee cups were not replaced. There was no notice in our room about whether or not we wanted clean towels, so I assumed we would get them. We did not, and our towels from the day before were still damp.I did not expect clean sheets, but very little effort was made to straighten the bed. Disappointing for such a nice hotel. Get better housekeeping a La Quinta or similar.

Great hotel! Trolley ride away from French Qtr.

Pros: Everything!!
Cons: FREE WIFI.
This was a last minute trip and by minute I mean we booked that morning and were on a flight two hours later. A great getaway at a great hotel. The food, drinks and gambling were exactly what we needed. Had a great time and even won some money at the slots!! Wishing we could have stayed another few nights. Can't wait to visit again!
