Pros: the front desk & staff
Cons: you need to do something to prevent slips and falls in the tub
the room was fair. we had a problem every day we had to get the keys redone. the bath tub had no rubber mat or slip resistance strips and I fell in & out of the tub . overall the front desk staff was outstanding, kind ,hospitable .

Emergency Response Lacking

Cons: In case of an emergency hotel staff should let the guests know what's going on.
While the hotel was quite nice I did have a bit of an unpleasant experience during my stay. At about 10PM on Saturday evening (June 18) the fire alarms in the hotel sounded. Normally when this happens in a hotel there is an announcement made in the hallway advising guests if they should evacuate or if it is a false alarm. There was no announcement so I went down the stairs to the outside.of the building as did most other guests. The fire dept arrived and then police arrived and entered the hotel but none of the hotel staff advised the guests what was happening. Although there didn't appear to be a fire, the fire alarms kept sounding periodically. Eventually the firemen came out of the building but still no one from the hotel advised what was happening or whether we could return to our rooms. I stayed in the lobby until about midnight & then returned to my room when the policemen advised that there had been a domestic disturbance on the 3rd floor which had been resolved but which apparently was not related to the fire alarm problem. The fire alarm went off again several times during the night . There was never an explanation by the hotel nor offer of compensation for our inconvenience. I have a reservation to return to this hotel in September but am reconsidering my reservation.

Pros: We enjoyed the seating areas in and out of the hotel. Really enjoyed seeing the ducks in and around the pool area.
Cons: We were comfortable, felt welcome, had a clean room, and friendly staff; so I didn't look for anything to complain about.
From the time we got to hotel, we had the help of staff in getting luggage onto cart and into the hotel. Check in went smooth. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back in the future.

Easy Access to New Orleans & Metairie

I stayed at this location for a cheer competition in the NOLA. Considering it being JazzFest week, the prices were great. I did not care for the breakfast buffet however the staff at this location were the best

Appears to be an older facility. Rooms and bathrooms could use updates (i.e. Paint)

We strive to maintain the highest standards, not only in service, but also with regards to maintaining the overall look and feel of the hotel. I will bring your comments up to the corporate office to see if something can be done to update the rooms to be more inline with other Hilton properties. In addition, later this year we will be updating the locks and doors around the hotel, along with new chrome fixtures for the bathrooms. We hope this will help address some of the issues. Although we fell short of meeting your expectations during your past stay, I hope you will consider the Hilton Garden Inn on your next visit to the New Orleans area so we may better deliver upon the guest experience you deserve.

Cockroach

Everything was going pretty well until I stumbled upon a huge cockroach in the main hallway. If there is one there are thousands. Beside that is was not bad
