Close to New Orleans airport

Staff great thanks J rooms good and quiet but didn't have much time to look around. I was a drop in because I did arrive early in the area but they gave me a room anyway.

Carry your own bags.

Pros: Much better mattress and pillows than our last visit.
Cons: Could improve the pick-up at the airport. Came in at nearly midnight. The young lady that picked us up didn't bother to roll my wife's wheel chair.
After I had rolled my wife's wheel chair to the van and after I helped her in, I had to go back around to the rear of the van and load our baggage. There were no other travelers. Once we arrived at the hotel, she opened the rear and lifted the bags out and onto one of the hotel carriers that I had gone and gotten.

Good value.

Pros: Clean hotel.
Cons: More comfortable beds and pillows. Bed like a rock and pillows so limp it took 4 pillows to make up the thickness of just one.
Location: Close to variety of restaurants. Shuttle to airport.
Stayed overnight as a stopping point with air travel. Nice hotel. Clean with friendly staff. Had to call to get internet access. They didn't mention it at check in. Had to call to get extra pillows, as no follow-up call to see if we needed anything. Bed hard as a rock. Very uncomfortable sleep. Pillows almost non-existent. They were so flimsy and limp it took 4 just to make one pillow.

Basic hotel. Everything is an"extra charge". Nice pool, but could have been cleaner .

Overnight stay for business

Had 2 days of work at the Pontchartrain Center and decided to stay the night. The room was comfortable, the staff VERY accommodating, and the breakfast was good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Name of Hotel caused problem

Pros: The staff are very friendly and the room was quite spacious with 2 double beds, a small couch, microwave, kureg coffee maker and TV.
Cons: The air conditioner had trouble cooling the room at first but that just may have been the adjustments on the unit.
Location: It is super close to the Treasure Island river boat gaming, there are numerous local dining and cafe's along the main boulevard to the hotel.
There are 2 airport Hilton Hotels in New Orleans; one near the airport as someone may expect on Airline Hwy and the other about15 minutes North located near one of the casino river boat gambling sites. lf you are not paying attention when making the reservation like myself you will end up at the wrong hotel. My evening began with pulling into the wrong hotel where I really wanted to stay and being told: oh it's the other airport Hilton and this happens all the time. To say the least after driving 3 hours on Interstate 10 I wasn't very happy but in the end it was my fault for looking at the street address. In any case the Hilton Garden Inn Airport was a nice hotel but not as nice as the Airport Hilton. The lobby was nice and the staff were friendly. The dining options are not as polished as the Airport Hilton on Airline Highway but parking was free, so there's that. The quality of the dining fair was above average so even though I ended up at the wrong Hilton, it was not a bad second choice. The surroundings aren't much to look at since their is construction next door but for a comfortable night or two it is a great choice.

The front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful. Our family of six flew out of New Orleans with fifteen suitcases and six carry-ons (we were moving overseas). We assumed we would have to take two shuttles, however, the lady doing the shuttles at 3 am was able to figure out how to get all of it in one trip which saved us quite a bit of time. I would definitely stay there again.

Sugar Bowl Fun!!!

When the warmth of the people who are there to help you make your stay so comfortable. Everyone we came in contact with made us feel welcome & extended kindness. The chicken Parmesan soup was so delicious I look forward to my return to enjoy it again!
