The hotel was clean and smelled nice. The bed was comfortable and the black out curtains made for a great night sleep. If they could add 2 more pillows to the king size bed it would have been perfect.

After checking into room 1422 on April 4 we wanted to leave for dinner, and we found out that the door did not lock correctly and could be pushed open from the outside! Some house staff member came to perform what looked like a fix for the problem. As there were also toilet cleanliness issues, the front desk manager offered to reimburse us for the first night. In the night from April 5 to 6, my wife heard someone manipulating the door, woke me up, and once they heard us talking, whoever was out there left. As we were leaving the room the next morning, we discovered that the door again did not lock and had to check with the front desk to get the door lock taken care off again. This caused us significant concern for our safety and added stress as we needed to get to our tour. When we returned from our tour in the afternoon, we moved to room 1707, which was a downgrade from the room category that we had booked and created additional unnecessary work on our vacation. Additionally, we observed that the foyer with the hotel elevators is accessible via an open door to the adjacent parking garage. Every evening when we returned to the hotel, we noticed that the door remained open, further undermining the security of the hotel. Taken together with the incomplete door lock "fixes" we are wondering if all of this is done intentionally by the house staff to allow robbers to get access to the rooms. This is not a safe hotel!

The Hotel is conveniently located with very close access to several dining options and short walking distance to Canal Street and Bourbon Street. Rooms were very clean with several amenities and friendly staff. Only issue was the language barrier as most of the staff were non-english speaking so communication was a challenge at times. Would definitely recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel.

This property is in an okay location, but the rooms are extremely outdated. The front desk attendant was so pleasant, which was probably the best part of this hotel. Valet attendants were beyond rude during the day time and extremely nice at night. They tell you to call down 10 minutes early, just to call down, come down and still no vehicle. Oh, and then sometimes I call down and no answer. For $40 a day…never again.

-The location was quiet good. -The fact that the reception is not on ground level and that they close the entry after 10pm is not facilitating the check-in for the latecomers. - The safe in our room was broken. They said they would replace the broken piece but nothing happened during our 3 nights stay. We had to leave our valuables in the reception during the day. When we wanted to take them back they couldn’t find where they were.

The location is convienent. If you’re looking for a bed and shower this place is fine. The dining room experience has much to be desired. On one evening, the iPad to order food was not working so I could not order or pay for food… staff directed me to a QR code on a card which was not in my room so we skipped dinner that night. This place definitely does not meet the standards of other Hilton Garden establishments that I have stayed in.

The room was very spacious and clean. The only issues I had were that there were no luggage carts to be found upon check-in or check-out, and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The mattress felt very worn and cheap. After a long day of walking the quarter, the mattress was not the ideal resting spot. I ended up sleeping one night in the chair in the room due to how uncomfortable the mattress was.

The property was very good for business people but seemed to lack a family atmosphere. The front desk clerks were outstanding. You had to use a tablet to order food for meals. My wife asked one of the cooks for a straw to drink a soda and was told there were not any available. Less than a minute later she saw the cook put straws in a bag for a carryout meal.

The locations pretty perfect. Its in walking distance to pretty much everything. The women working the front desk were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the value seemed to be very good.

Good location but beds sucked
Hotel is in a good location, but the beds left much to be desired compared to other Garden Inn locations. The sheets didn't fit the bed and the mattress cover was visible every morning. The mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. The carpet was just gross in the room. The staff was very friendly and we liked that we were in walking distance of all the things we wanted to see.
