Nice historic building, lax maintenance/operation

While there were many good things about this hotel, we were still somewhat disappointed. It appears to have been beautifully renovated at some time in the past, but small problems since have not been addressed. The biggest issue was the bathtub hot water faucet, which would not shut off completely. In addition to wasting water (and the energy to heat it), it also raised the humidity so much that we had to keep the bathroom window open.
Other issues were:
No closet and not even a hanging rack.
No hooks or shelves in bathroom (typical of many hotels) - wet towels had to hang from the shower curtain rod.
No maid service unless you put out the door knob tag requesting it.
Damage such as a cracked bathroom floor tile, cracked work on vanity, bent lamp shade.
