Service is nonexistent

Got back to the room after Voodoo Fest. Key card wouldn't open the door. I called the number for after hours service and got no answer. After that I called another 24 times and got no answer. We were lucky that the people in the next room over offered to let us sleep in their room. I couldn't get into our room until an hour before checkout.

Location: Its next to some shady bars back in a little hole that you can barely see from the highway.
We checked in late, which they did great accomodating. The kitchenette with its fridge is nice to have. However, i wouldn't stay here if youre going to be in your room alot. The beds are ridiculously uncomfortable. Housekeeping never came. I had four people in a room and was only given two towels, when i asked for two more and let them know i had 4 people it seemed like I was being an inconvenience and the response was "we start people out with 2" and then was given two Hand towels. The toilet ran constantly. All of us tripped on the stairs which are falling apart atleast once.

My daughter was having Lasik surgery nearby and we had to stay overnight so she could be back for her follow-up appointment the next morning. This was a very comfortable and convenient place for us to stay. I have never been a "five star" hotel guest anywhere. An affordable price for a clean room has always been more important to me. Sun Suites more than met that requirement for us this trip and the hotel staff was very nice.

Not worth the price

The kitchenettes do not even come with dishes or anything to cook with. They do not restock towels or have maid cleaning. They don't restock toilet paper! It smelt like weed the whole stay and for two days it was 132 bucks. Not worth that price at all

This is Not A Hotel or Motel

Pros: The people that cleaned the rooms were very nice.
Cons: Everything
Location: Great Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping and nearby the Hotel that I normally stay at had been booked out.
I was too disappointed, there was no coffee pot, no iron and ironing board, no hangers in the room. The Hot water was Cold Saturday night and Sunday morning. There is not 24 hour staff an the office close early and does not open until noon on Sunday. I went back by the place to tell them about not having Hot water and it was just brushed off and I was told that they had a problem with their water on Saturday. No discount was offered, no real apology, it was as if this was business as usual. This is a place to stay if you have no apartment or will be there working for a lengthy amount of time, this is not a place to stay over the week-end if you are use to having great service 24 hours. For the price on a week-end there is an event in the city, it was a great price but to have great service I will pay for it the next time. This was my first time and my last time staying at this place.

Thank you for your review. I do apologize for the lack of hot water, and the issue has been fixed. We would be happy to exchange your towels for you if you are a weekend guest. As an extended stay hotel, we do weekly housekeeping, but do a refresh for nightly guests. I hope you will give us another chance when you visit NOLA again.

Worst place I ever stayed at!

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything!
Location: In short driving distance of restaurants, bars, and the airport
For starters the toilet didn't work right. No hot water in shower, instead was ice cold. The non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes really bad. Had to purchase room spray. I would never stay there again, would sleep in my car before I'd stay there again.

Not very satisfied

My flight didn't get in til after 1am. I realized later that this hotel closes after 11pm. I called the hotel & the lady that answered said even though they were closed they would still take me in since I had a reservation for a week. When I got there the lady behind the counter said my card had been denied & she couldn't run the register so I couldn't pay with another card or even cash. I now realize that Expedia paid for the hotel on their credit card so I should not have been denied. Once I got into the room the carpet was wet by the door cause the A/C was leaking. Mold was on the furniture that had been sitting on the wet carpet for who knows how long. Nasty Experience
