Cheap but average quality hotel

Posted Mar 16, 2017
This is not a traditional hotel. This is just hotel renovated from a house. In order to turn on the heater, you need to turn on the fan. That's ridiculous but that's so true. I put my clean cloth on the bed but the hotel stuff who cleaned the room throw it on the floor. The pillows are dirty as you can see from the stain on it. You can't even use the plug in the room. So if you want to use coffee machine, you need to plug it in the bathroom. It's quite noisy during daytime and even night on the weekend. Maybe the only good thing is the reception stuffs are friendly.

Hello Shawn, Thank you for your feedback. I'm very happy to hear you found the hotel to be a good value and enjoyed interacting with our friendly staff. True, the Inn on Ursulines is not a traditional hotel in the sense that it is a historical property dating back to the 1820s. I'm not sure about the heater/fan comment nor the coffee machine/outlet. I certainly hope we were able to take care of those issues for you while you were in-house. We hope you enjoyed your time in New Orleans!

Unique

Impressive little cottage, close to all the action. Easy walking distance from everything in the French quarter. Clare the evening staff was extremely helpful and headed us in the right direction on evening meal and coffee shops for our 1st time in Nola.

The hotel staff were especially personable and helpful. They made me feel at home right away. The room was sparse but extremely clean and accessible to the area where I had my work and interest, e.g. the French Quarter. The sense of security was solid and the only comment I would make on this note is that the next time I stay there I will request a room within the courtyard area. My door actually opened directly onto the street. I was not bothered by but street noise could have easily been an issue and security might have plagued a less experienced traveler. Overall, the price was excellent and the room very clean and comtemporary.

Nice hotel/Inn on the edge of the Mardi Gras fun.

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Pros: Lots of character, love old classic hotels and inns
Cons: Parking was an issue (of course during Mardi Gras that's to be expected) we had to park for $50 a night about half a mile away.
Location: Bourbon Street is right there. Walking distance to Canal Street and Decature Street. Great food all around.
We stayed here for Mardi Gras 2017, close enough to be a part of everything with out having to stay in ground zero

Perfect hotel in an excellent location.

Posted Feb 5, 2017
We couldn't ask for a better hotel in the French Quarter. Fantastic location with Quartermaster store and Verte Matte a block away, Bourbon Street one block away, Cafe Dumonde and the French Market a quick ten minute walk. No bars or businesses on this portion of Ursuline St. So there was not a lot of street noise. Staff were extremely polite and went out of their way to provide assistance.

FANTASTIC LOCATION in NOLA

Posted Jan 22, 2017
Location: Ruby Slipper Café and Horn's for breakfast in the Marigny neighborhood, a short walk from the hotel. Frenchman street is also a short walk away
Pros: Close enough to all the fun, yet far enough away to get a good nights sleep. Lots of character and comfy rooms. We got a lot of recommendations for restaurants from the hotel staff that were great! Cons: My only complaint is that we couldn't open the windows in our room, so we weren't able to have fresh air flow in. I'll definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to NOLA.

Very convenient hotel.

Very close to everything. It seemed to have been newly renovated. I wish we could have learned more about the history

Very nice inn. Intimate, and close to action. Not very quite at night, but added to the experience

Nice Location

Posted Jan 14, 2017
Pros: Located in the French Quarter...close to Bourbon Street.
Cons: See above...room 13 was completely inadequate. You also had to walk up some very steep stairs to get to the room. Not conducive for elderly.
Location: Nice location. Easy to get around the French Quarter.
Hotel Ursulines was a decent hotel in terms of its location. The room was clean. However, the room was cramped, no window, no view, just bare bones. The external a/c unit wasn't very efficient and the TV remote control didn't work properly. No breakfast and parking was $20.00 per day at an off-site location (about a 10 minute walk).

Nice hotel

Posted Jan 10, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Air conditioning
Everything fine, except for the efficiency of the heating capacity of A/C... I know the weather was exceptionally cold, but...
